Oh yeah, I remember this game lol. It's very clearly two different games stapled together in a really jarring way.

Honestly I'm not a huge fan. The part where you do your laundry is great: you put your clothes in the washer, wait 15 real minutes, then put them in the dryer and wait another real 15 minutes. What you do during that time is completely up to you. You can explore the town and find newspaper clippings that give hints about the backstory, and you can ask characters what they remember from the incident. Everything before and after the laundry section is really boring honestly. I loved Murder House though

I loved this game. It has a dreamlike atmosphere but the game does a really damn good job of convincing you that this is a real place. There's also so much variety in gameplay and locations, it's really fun.
