I think he still gets some joy out of it -- he clearly loves subverting viewers expectations with stuff like shooting the vortigaunt or skipping the boat jump. -

I think he's still got interest in it but focuses on other projects since he doesn't want to be remembered as "The Freeman's Mind" guy. Can you blame him? -
Wonder if Freeman will reach Ravenholm in the next episode, I'm greatly looking forward to that! I'm also curious how Ross is going to deal with the talk-a-thon that is Black Mesa East.
