  1. It's a game jam game, so you shouldn't expect too much of it. It's definitely foreboding but as far as I could tell it doesn't really put you in any danger; it's really just a fetch quest that you can beat in less than 30 minutes. Objectively speaking I guess there may not be that much to the story either although I found it interesting enough because it's centred around a topic that happens to touch me personally.
  2. I recommend King Of Thorn if you like horror and sci-fi and can forgive slightly convoluted storylines (don't watch the anime movie though, it's a terrible adaptation).
  3. I feel like this is probably too well-known for there to be much point in Ross covering it. The few famous titles that were on Game Dungeon thus far were ones he wanted to look at from a seldom-looked at angle. It's a shame cause I think Yume Nikki perfectly captures the vibe Ross apparently associates with Commodore 64 games, where you're dropped in an uncaring, alienating dream world with no clue what's happening or what you're supposed to do.
  4. I can't tell if this is a joke game or not. Copying random bits and pieces from Silent Hill games and patching them together without rhyme or reason or anything to tie it all together isn't my idea of a worthwhile experience, unless beating ghosts with a hammer and chasing off possessed subway trains with a gun tickles your fancy.
  5. I think this is what one would call an "alternate reality" game, in which players have to leave the program and look for clues on the internet. Off the top of my head, I think you need to So it technically doesn't count as GaaS since it doesn't depend on a central server, but it does depend on information that won't be around forever. You may no longer be able to complete this game 10 years from now.
  6. I really wanted to like this because the buildup is supreme, but they had to end it on such a trite nothing-payoff that I couldn't help but feel cheated. Seems like I run into that problem rather often with games lately ?
  7. Meh. It's not really scary, most of the puzzles aren't that interesting and the story is pretty shallow. Moderate fun if you have an hour or two to spare but not much of lasting value.
  8. From the desert to the plains, you'll be hauling loads and trying to stay one step ahead of the law, as you climb into your HARD TRUCK for non-stop driving action. Race across America and deliver your load to its destination before the competition. So keep the tank full and your pedal to the metal as you rackup points and OWN the road!!!
  9. Yes it is? And even if the Chinese government didn't think that way, they'd have about as much control over Mongolia as they do over Taiwan. Mongolia is not connected to China in the same way as Hong Kong. Are you confusing Outer and Inner Mongolia?
