Just finished the game yesterday. It's a point and click adventure from a Chinese studio, so the English translation is understandable, but very clunky. Story wise, it's a nice story with the usual saviour hero elements mixed with a bit of (in retrospect) chinese folklore elements. This for me is a major factor in a point and click. The inventory management is very annoying, the puzzles are mostly disjunctive, and the music is mostly repetitive. The puzzles are built in a manner that will make you mostly call the helpline of that era to pay for hints. Luckily today we have walkthroughs. I would have given it good/great except it ends on two very annoying puzzles which make me downgrade it to Doubt/Love&Hate/Hazy. The first is a sliding puzzle of an image of the map game with 36 squares, and I HATE slider puzzles. After that, nearly immediately, there is a spinning maze riddle; attached is an image, see for yourself: These two just feel like some kind of artificial time wasters that have nothing to do with the game

I agree with chlor, basically a Proof of Concept game, Diablo clone with less variaty, about 40 maps with teleporters every 2nd map. I mostly liked it. Thing is, Ross won't like it because it is one giant maze, even though the story is mostly linear (go from point A to point B on the map, but we won't tell you where point B is, you find it yourself) most maps are a spiraling maze. The skill tree is pretty bare, and as a mage I found it annoying (though maybe understandable) that I can't fire none projectile spells from behind walls even with LoS. There are elements but only fire increases in power with skill points, also beyond obvious fire is weak to water, water is weak to fire it is not obvious what other enemies are weak to or resistant to. Once you leave an area all enemies respawn (including bosses) and most doors lock back. That's it for now, enjoy the game.

I enjoyed all three so far, episode 3 has a problem near the end (in the middle of the conversation with the solairian?) where the audio seems to loop around while the movie just goes on , and the subs match nothing. Also sometimes, because italian speech is so fast, the translation is too long for reading (I mean it changes before I finished reading) - I realize that not much can be done about it , unless you slowdown speech in long sentences, but that ruins the tempo of the video -

Reminds me of flash\unity game I played once, must have been this game's predecessor.

It was a great video, thanks for that! Well I thank my lucky stars that I've never played this as a kid, it would have really fucked me up. Now as an adult, other for the gore scenes, It's not that scary (and other than the intentional jump scares(like with the monster on the computer screen)). I can't say I share Ross's usual enthusiasm to point and click adventures with this one (which I usually do), seems like a really short game bloated into 7 discs by over complicating the scenes with the movies and cheap hard-softcore scenes (not to mention that entire first workday routine of back and forth). The whole alien world scene felt really out of place and really barren, the aliens just have the portal standing there active without any guards on it? What was the point in killing the psychiatrist and the guard? Also did I miss it or did Ross really not show us what was on the other side of that midget door behind the boxes?

Would you consider "Socrates Jones: pro philosopher" as relevant to this list, or is it too casual?

Ross's Game Dungeon: TrackMania² Canyon
kerdios replied to Ross Scott's topic in Ross's Game Dungeon
Personally I think this is a Dr. Stone kind of apocalypse, where some covert group (In this case probably an AI) fired a global petrification beam that targeted all life except for birds (and maybe invertibrates -trees could not keep on living without them - and reptiles) and the statues eventually crumbled into dust. Also the drivers we see in stadium are not people but just place holder androids. The red to blue barrier shift is probably just because of the research that shows that blue makes people want to play for longer and ubisoft is all about the microtransactions . -
Played all the other don't escapes, and can't recommend them enough https://www.kongregate.com/games/scriptwelder/dont-escape https://www.kongregate.com/games/scriptwelder/dont-escape-2 https://www.kongregate.com/games/scriptwelder/dont-escape-3
