  1. It's an average Wadjet Eye adventure game. If you like their other games you'll like this one. If you've never played one of their games this is a good example of what their catalog is like.
  2. It's a solid adventure game. The puzzles never left me stumped, most of the solutions are fairly obvious to anyone with even a passing familiarity of adventure game logic and the rest can be easily gleaned from inventory descriptions and NPC dialogue.
  3. It just sort of ends on a cliffhanger. The main draw is going back and replaying it to see all of the story's hidden secrets but without a satisfying conclusion it doesn't feel worth doing that. I get the desire to have a franchise but it could have still worked if the story was self-contained.
  4. The setting has a great ominous atmosphere but it's really slow and confusing at the start and while it does pick up eventually after upgrading the vehicle and having the stats to reliably use the fast travel mirrors. The combat and exploration are so-so but the game's main draw is its storytelling. Not GaaS. Just a regular single player game with no further purchases at all beyond the soundtrack. It's kind of a shame there haven't been any expansions, the world's locked room design seems perfect for them.
