If you're an industrial engineer this is a game literally made for people like you, stop reading and go buy it. Factorio is a game in which you build elaborate systems of production that feel more like solving fun puzzles more than filling in cells on a spreadsheet (though that may occur in the later game). You harvest resources and the process them into various products, and the greatest moments in the game are when you finish working on one particular part of your production line, and then zoom out to see you've covered half the landscape in machinery. There is some PvE in which aliens can attack your factory if the pollution produced by your machines starts affecting their nests, which can sometimes end up effectively splitting the game into two halves where you have to momentarily stop your planning and building to play a sub-par isometric shooter, but it is a minority of gameplay hours. The sound and art are good, matching the industrial feel of the game well. In general, if you don't like game that focus on strategy and puzzle games, this might not be for you, but for under half the price of a triple A release, you'll probably get more out of this game.

Watching a walkthrough without commentary will give you a better experience. The gameplay is linked to the story in an interesting way (especially more for the time), but the main attraction to this game is the story and the scenes of violence which were shocking for the time. A walkthrough or longplay will let you experience the game with it's slow build of tension much more effectively, this game is seriously hurt by the moments where you can't figure out what to do much more than other adventure games. Not recommended to buy

Dark souls but slower. It's missing the very careful balance that defines the dark souls series, and only has a very basic similarity to those games. Play dark souls instead, you'll get better art, story and gameplay from that series.

Interesting opening, and for a while the stealth/straight action gameplay is fun, but reaching the end just becomes a slog for little payoff. You can find games that do the same thing that have better art and stories elsewhere.

Postal 2 aged terribly. There is enjoyment to be found in Postal's 2 base game, but those moments are diamonds in the rough. Postal 2's dlc is worse.

Good art and sound. Ship combat is fun to learn and experiment with, and you'll lose several hours in the beginning unlocking upgrades and amassing a fleet, but once you've made a few fleets (less than 5 hours) you'll really have gotten about as much as you will out of the game, besides the goal of uploading your fleet into the game for other players to fight.

Posted this to a separate forum, but now that we have comments I'll put it here: I picked this one up a while back and I didn't finish it (about halfway through judging by walkthroughs) The game's look and overall tone is nice, but it really relies on this slow burn of tension/atmosphere that gets broken up too often by the game's cinematics. Minor spoilers for recommending whether you should play, about 30-35 minutes of gameplay from the start - - - - -
