Sonatine 1993 I'm going through a Japanese movie phase lately and I ended up seeing this one more than twice. If a story makes you feel bad for a main character who clearly isn't a good guy, then you know it's good. Comparing it with the rest of Kitano's work, this one is low budget and the editing is minimal but I still give it a 9/10.
