  1. Yeah, not too proud of myself there.... I was just pissed off with my computer at the time, and hitting the case was the first thing I thought to do out of frustration. I thought it starting when I did that was only a coincidence for about a month, but then it happened way too consistently for me to believe that anymore. In other words, the correlation between the computer finishing booting up and me smacking the top of the case was quite high. As for that problem you had, that's rather strange. Never experienced much weird stuff having to do with notebooks, laptops etc. but then most of my experience working with computers comes from using desktops so far.
  2. I would go into more detail describing this game, but I only know as much as what one could find from the wiki page at the moment and so I don't feel the need to regurgitate that information. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_of_the_Temple:_Infernal_Crusade I found out about it as a result of the band Within Temptation having done the soundtrack for it and, I'm not gonna lie, I found it intriguing for that reason alone. As of the time of this post, I don't have any other resources regarding this game but I'm going to look and post them here as soon as I can if I find anything of interest.
  3. On the first build I ever put together, I screwed the motherboard directly into the case without putting stand-offs underneath it. That ended up causing some strange problems in the long run and the board didn't become broken beyond repair, but I must have messed something up pretty bad because it had some really strange boot problems. It would always freeze up on the initial boot screen and, for reasons beyond me, giving the top of the case a good smack would be enough to get it going again. What a mess that was. ...and I don't fully understand the how and why of it, but re-mounting my motherboard on top of the stand-offs, as was suggested by a friend of mine, seemed to fix these stupid problems. It would still act up a lot because I think that or something else I did caused it some long term damage, but it no longer froze up without fail at every boot. 'Twas a good learning experience for me.
  4. Currently, one of my case fans is broken. (assuming that "broken" means that it makes a hell of a lot of noise when it's running; it still spins but I can't stand the noise when it does) It's been that way for about half a year now, just never bothered to do anything about it because it doesn't seem to contribute much air flow anyway. More recently though, the fans inside my power supply have been acting up (often I find them not spinning for a bit every time I boot my computer) which is more worrisome. Oh well.
  5. This is really cool! Always warms my heart to see an old dinosaur computer still working.
  6. Thank you all for the warm welcome! 'Tis appreciated.
  7. Hello all! I just made an account here today after being a fan of Ross's content for many years. As evidenced by the username, I'm a fellow that really enjoys his music. I'm also somewhat of a computer geek. The name's Preston. I'm 21 years old and live in the U.S. in Minnesota. I came here in the hopes of meeting fellow fans of Ross's stuff and also perhaps meeting others that enjoy similar music.
