  1. Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall - 1995 Available on GOG for less than £5.00 here: http://www.gog.com/game/entomorph_plague_of_the_darkfall Samples on youtube here: There seems to be a logic often followed that when composing a medieval fantasy setting sound track, it might be best to leave out instruments of the modern age. I appreciate that player immersion can be easily damaged this way but rarely find music in the genre that stays with me. Well Entomorph opens with GIANT TIME TRAVELING SPIDERS, so it was never going to follow some stupid rules anyway. Electric guitar riffs wail over the piano, drums and synth in a nicely plotted album that ranges from atmospheric exploration to a tense action finale. Entomorph was the second and last world of Aden release. It's predecessor: Thunderscape shared little narratively but had the same team composing and is worth checking out if you want more of the same.
  2. The composer Ed Harrison put the tracks up on soundcloud (and a bunch of other sites) linked from his homepage: http://ghostiq.com/ He continues to work in a similar vein with a kind of minimalist synth sound so his new stuff is well worth a listen if you crave more (like me). It's good to see some NeoTokyo love. Especially in an the age that brings us the tedious Ghost in the shell first assault. Friday nights a full server can still be scraped together, If you're really interested look up the active NT player steam group over here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ANPA
