  1. Good to see that you're recovering. Regarding music, you're always free to use any of my tunes.
  2. Congratulations!
  3. Hey Ross, I don't know if you still accept questions here, but I hope danielsangeo will bundle this one with the rest. It's a longer one, but I think you'll find the subject interesting. When it comes to licensed software, what's your take on the following payment models different retailers are offering nowadays (?): 1. You buy the product for single sum and therefore you'll be entitled to use it as much as you desire, both private and commercially. If you throughout the years want a later version you once again pay for the product, or as in most cases a simple upgrade fee. 2. The retailer, for instance Adobe, offers a monthly subscription to their products. This monthly amount is low, basically only a small fraction of what the product would cost as the previous alternative (could still be about... let's say $25), but in the long run it will eventually surpass the one-time-payment charge. First alternative isn't so much of a discussion, but rather the traditional business model to be compared with. The second, however, is more of game changer, I believe. For a small business or a private amateur the monthly subscription fee can be a huge expense. For someone who's not able to use the software on a daily basis due to other weekday obligations it might not even be an actual option. Could this model incentivize piracy? What do you think could happen if the retailer goes bankrupt? I guess this matter could be applied on buying/owning vs. pay for streaming media, such as music, movies/series and games. Maybe that's a topic for another time though.
  4. He has answered this in the past. He has stated that he doesn't give percentages because it would either cause too much hype or too much disappointment if milestones or whatever aren't hit. Movies can't really be given a percentage done. Sorry. The question wasn't about how far the process have come percentage-wise, but how much of the making that he predicted to be spent in-engine vs. post production tools. Sorry if it came out in an unclear way. Thanks for answering as well.
  5. Hey Ross, Here's another one regarding The Movie. My apologies if you've already answered this earlier. When you're estimating the whole project as one process, what would be the expected percentage spent on post production? Example: work in Premiere, After Effects and such.
  6. Hey Ross, Regarding The Movie... I know you've said that music and such is something you'll handle later in the pipeline. You've also said that you have one or two composers in mind, but is there any chance of another potential one to contribute? If so, would you give some hints of what you're looking for style-wise, way ahead of an eventual deadline? A little call out? Also, I think it's time for your other series to get their own theme songs. Ross Rants, for instance. What are your thoughts about it? Thanks for an excellent YouTube channel and fan service.
  7. Sure, forgot that I had an account there. ONE TWO THREE FOUR Better luck this time!
  8. So, haven't been reading all of the comments in this topic, therefore I might have missed if someone else already provided this input, but since we're discussing Deus Ex I thought I'd might share some photos I took a few years ago. Not the best quality/resolution, since I had to do it quick before security approached me at the exhibition, but hey, better than nothing. After a quick Google-run I can tell that this has been more or less available since way back to the public, but anyway... here are my photos! It at least felt cool to stand infront of those papers! ONE TWO THREE FOUR Just zoom out a bit and you'll have a better view. Enjoy!
  9. I like how well this kind of spelling goes with your avatar. It made me think of . Have a nice day buddy.
  10. Cheers. Just mailed the mentioned address.
  11. Hey Ross & Dan, Like the previous guy here in the topic I'm just curious about how hard it really is to get in touch with you when it comes to someone willing to help you out with the movie. By the end of last year I sent an email to Ross about how I maybe could contribute with assets and just a few days ago another mail just to check if my first one got all the way through. No answer so far. Unlike the offer above my help is free. I'm asking you because I want to help, not because I'm short on money. I know Ross is already soaked in mails, work and so on, but just a friendly question wouldn't hurt, I guess? You can PM me if you want the specific mail address that I was using when trying to contact [email protected] with twice. Maybe it's just me not getting a hint..?. Nevertheless, all the best to you! Kind regards, Dan
