I already said this in the youtube video for Darkspore, but maybe the forum is a better place. I think that the best people to ask for help on this issue is the EFF. They already make a victory one or two years ago for legally removing the online verification when the game servers have been shut down. I'm sure that if they can't help activelly, at least they can guide the actions on a legal way.
