Wow. This is totally the type of song that would be playing when a protagonist completely catches the antagonist off guard with his brilliant plan and is explaining his strategy slowly, while the antagonist slowly and surely realizes that he is beyond fucked. 10/10 G6gI2MBRmzw

Spotlight is totally 5/7. For a really talky film with hardly no heavily dramatic scenes, Spotlight was so unexpectedly gripping and interesting. I absolutely love this film and the people behind it. I am even happier that this won the Oscar for Best Picture just now.

Toothache. For the last 3 months. No money for medication yet. Student life is ass. Iboprufen helps me get through the days.

Probably because you're running low on lemon water and morphine. How do I hide a dead body? I don't think under the bed was the best idea.

Let me start my day by looking up same-sex shippings on Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons.

On stage, there are 21 different ping-pong tables with 21 two sets of players. Each set of players have a ball and rackets in different body mass and density. And when they all play pong, each table makes a different note. It's glorious. Next Band: Butthole Surfers (Fun fact: Led Zeppelin's bassist worked as a producer for them once)

1/10 That's offensive to me. trololololololol There are two types of Vice Presidents, doormats and matadors. - Frank Underwood

8/10 Only now did I realize that was a gif.

I have a feeling that these posters are a foreshadowing for all characters who will be dead by the time GOT ends.

Enter the codec 108.66. It summons Gas Snake to help you out in difficult times. How do I beat the two Centaur bosses in Brutal Doom? They have crazy splash damage and I can't dodge them for the life of me.
-
Finally beaten Brutal Doom from start to finish. That last boss is such a pain even on the easiest difficulty. Yeah I played the game on the easiest difficulty possible because I am a pussy like that.

I believe Tyrian has my favorite joke in Game Dungeon. I'm paraphrasing here: "And for all of you who wants to start their own country; don't worry, we have guns for you too." But I'd have to say the Game Dungeon episode that made want to actually play the game the most was Dungeon Siege.

56O_JnfZkS4 This here is a Guns N Roses compilation album of a bunch of unreleased demos. Some interesting stuff here like Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Elvis Presley covers. Because these are demos, the sound quality is pretty horrible. However, the one track I've really liked from these so far is the piano-only version of November Rain around the 27:00 mark. It's just a guy playing a piano and singing with a weird-ass voice while other people are giving backing vocals in a very low volume, recorded with the world's crappiest sound recording equipment. But there's just something so atmospheric about the whole affair. Same goes for the acoustic guitar version of November Rain around the 57:09 mark. The old quality of the recording gives a lot of atmosphere, the piano notes are fumbled and droned by the shitty audio and sometimes even the singer screws up his notes. But even still, I can't help but feel a lot of nostalgia for something I never should have had nostalgia in the first place. It really feels like I'm peeking into someone's cherished long-distant memory, mudded and greyed by the passage of time. EDIT: It seems the YouTube tag isn't working? EDIT: It works now. Thanks, Jeb.

I think Priest will be fine. Nice to meet you, btw.

That game you hate that everyone else loves.

The Last Of Us. People ride the dick of this game hard. But I think Ben Croshaw explained it the best on why it sucks: It's the video game equivalent of Oscar bait. -
If you want awesome indie 2D puzzle games with incredible soundtrack and riveting storylines, I suggest Gunpoint and Braid. In Gunpoint, you play as a private detective that has the ability to re-route electricity lines. Which means he can do things like using light switches to open electric doors and using fire alarms to turn on computers. The entire game is a stealth puzzle game where you have to hack into computers without being seen by guards and you use your ability to your advantage in many creative ways. The game's aesthetic has a cool neo-noir atmosphere blended in with soft sci-fi. If you're into tech noir like I do, you'll love this game. The story's about the main guy getting framed for a murder he only witnessed and his journey of bringing the actual crook to justice. But stuff gets REALLY complicated at the end in the best way possible. The story is surprisingly solid and enjoyable. Braid is a puzzle platformer where you have the ability to move backwards or forwards in time at will. As you go on, you start getting other time-based quirks that challange your puzzle-solving ability like slowing down time or simultaneously playing with two different timelines. The story is a pretty basic tale about a guy who's trying to find a princess that was kidnapped by a monster, just like Mario actually. But as you go on, you start to find out that his journey isn't as noble as it's first made out to be. And the ending is just mindblowing. If you like abstract visual designs with fairy tale inspirations and music that is akin to modernized English folk, you'll enjoy this game.

What game universe do you want to live in?

I'd love to live in Gunpoint as a private eye. I just really like noir-styled sci-fi stuff and Gunpoint takes that up to eleven. -
What was your first Valve game?
PriestOfJudas replied to VeryShyPerson's topic in Valve Games / Valve Stuff
My first Valve game was the first Half-Life. It was an old computer and I was around 11 years old at the time. I immediately turned off the game and the computer after the first headcrab jumped at me. I finished the game a few years later after that scary experience. -
http://steamcommunity.com/id/vossanox My interests on Steam are only limited to DOTA 2 and Team Fortress 2, so feel free to add me if you wanna partner in playing those. (BTW, I suck on DOTA 2 but pretty decent in TF2)

Hello, I am PriestOfJudas. 19 years old and I currently live in Mongolia as a university student. I've been lurking here for the past few hours and decided I'll join the forum anyway since most of the other forums I've been a member of had gone inactive. I've been first exposed to Freeman's Mind in 2009 and has been following Ross's work since that. I am a big fan of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series (does Game of Thrones ring a bell?) and the Silent Hill video game series. I am a casual DOTA 2 player (by casual, I mean terrible) and a Team Fortress 2 player, if anyone else's interested in those games and wants to hit up, feel free to PM me. I'm also a frequent listener of heavy metal music and while I am in no way familiar with newer metal bands, I have a fair share of knowledge and admiration for older bands. I've started with Sabbath and have been slowly reaching Meshuggah. So yeah. Nice to meet you all.
