Often overlooked likely apocalypse

On the basis that each individual would have no close genetic ancestor and there is an even male female split, your saying that 5,000 separate bloodlines are needed at the start for sufficient genetic diversity? -
Half Life Movie. Content Duration.. George Carlin...
GolfClubNinja replied to rairii's topic in Free-For-All
Approx. Translation: What is more entertaining: a 15 hours of a great comedian/movie/book (specifically comedy/books by George Carlin), or a really funny 15 minute video, specifically one made by Ross Scott I was fucking high on some good stuff while watching man v.s. Wild and decided to express this idea online -

Keep the legitimate refuges and give economic migrants the ability to legally immigrate, but deport criminal and/or dangerous (terrorists and the such) out. Crackdown on economic migrants coming in but have more availability for them to migrate legally. This would be optimal but it would be very unlikely to happen on a major scale. When it comes to the actual political points, politicians have to choose between citizens and migrants. The citizens are the one's who will be able to vote, so populists parties will easily gain control with most neutral citizens seeing the migrants as a problem to their jobs and safety, like these truckers. In a way, Germany and its left leaning leaders, the center of the EU, killed it's own great project by letting migrants in without worry.

ROSS'S GAME DUNGEON: DEUS EX - INVISIBLE WAR

Concerning the nanite bomb, its more than possible that the nanites could have been limited to how many times they could replicate. There could have also been a counter measure to the nanite bomb which would stop their uncontrolled replication. So its more than possible that the attack could be contained to chicago -

When I saw this topic, my first reaction was "Well this is going to go to shit" has not turned out as bad as i thought, but i'll keep waiting. -
Do what I do to keep off the brink of depression, Role Playing groups!. Your local game store should have some, a good group can really fill that gap and it can be easy to make friends that way. Just one meeting a week can really help you out socially, trust me.

How fucked is the human race
GolfClubNinja replied to GolfClubNinja's topic in Serious Topic Discussion
man, the chart looks almost like an average charge, minus not being less than not very. 47%: we are fucked to some point 33%: we can deal with it, but it looks bad 20%: nah, its not that bad, we good this mainly helps show the consensus of our community on the world, which is nice, and this is another nice conversation piece as well. we are going to need some big fixes if we are going to continue improving and progressing instead of regressing in a fall of Rome manner.I doubt we will totally kill ourselves off, but it is possible. -
The Magical Thread Of Made-Up Metal Subgenres
GolfClubNinja replied to Selfsurprise's topic in Free-For-All
Actual Metal Self explanatory -
Many people believe (too some degree myself included), that the human race is fucked in some social or economic way. Our very own Ross has covered robots taking jobs, future dystopias and environmental issues. However there are plenty of other problems that we will have to come fact to face with as a species. Will we slowly regress and/or destroy ourselves, will we stay on the same route, or will we become the new sailors of space?

I was just addressing the problems some have with Islamic immigration, but if they only come in low amount from the EU, then it is not a problem from the EU. sdrageR

The main problem for some is the immigrants themselves, Muslims who have always lived in strict religious countries with quite different values. The live in self governed communities (from what I have heard, although I may be wrong on this point), practicing sharia law in their own courts. What happened in Cologne during New Years is known as taharrush gamea (harassment games is the literal translation), a common event in the city squares of Cairo as well as some other areas. The possible increase in rapes as well as segregated, self governend communities under sharia law are what most are worried about when it come to the mainly Islamic immigrants, not to mention terrorism of course.

I Don't know, I don't like the way these bullets look, something fishy bout em.

First of all, there are two separate branches that hate each other, most wars between these countries are fueled by Sunni v.s. Shiite conflict. Secondly, they would beleive those who they did kill to not be true followers as they are both not committing to holy war and are most likely in opposition of Isis, which they would think would be in opposition to God. Most importantly, the goal was to strike terror. Just because Muslims are there targets does not mean they are anti-Muslim, nor does it detract from the fact that they are following the ideas of their holy book to the letter. Is it a strict interpretation, yes, but if anything, it makes them even more devout followers according to their own scripture and beliefs

Just a little update. The guns where bought legally a week beforehand, for anyone who is interested in the gun rights topic. He was known to the authorities as a possible threat since 2013, and was last looked into in 2014. He had an ar-15 and an unspecified pistol, along with extra rounds. The bomb squad made a controlled explosion, so it was possible that a bomb was there. He was dispatched rather quickly by SWAT, with the only police causality being an injury to one who was shot in the head, but had his helmet stop it from killing him. He took hostages and had a standoff for about 2 hours.

So, if any of you don't know, a gay bar/nightclub called the pulse was subject to a mass shooting, ending with 50 dead and about 53 more wounded, the deadliest shooting since 2007. The perpetrator, Omar Mateen, went in with an assault rifle and a pistol, which I have heard have been legally or illegally bought, I have heard both claimed. He apparently called 911 before and pledged his allegiance to ISIS. He was on "the radar", but has no known ties to ISIS before hand. Of course, ISIS has praised the attack and has claimed responsibility. I don't have much to say on this at the moment, but it may be a topic others may want to talk about. I just don't want this to be focused on guns but on extremism, and hopefully let some people who still believe Islam as a religion of peace to learn more on their attitudes towards gays and women in their culture, both extremist and when dominant in a society.
