I still don't see how having more bullshit is a problem. Considering the precedent DS1 set I would be surprised if DS2 didn't have more and I really don't mind if there is. @Username that sounds similar to how the Redkite dragon introduces himself at the very start of the Undead Burg. Before I knew about him I stood right where he swoops in and one shot me. This was somewhat my fault however as at the time I didn't know I should be chugging Estus whenever needed, half my health was already gone and I had been hording Estus since I didn't know they refilled at bonfires. So at least half of that was my fault but there was no indication of a Red Dragon anywhere I could see either. The same could also be said for the Asylum Demon as well. Though that room at least had some indication something wasn't quite right. But I also wasn't aware of the open gate on the left side of the room either. These are very minor gripes I had at the start of the game, I died, I got up and I tried again. I don't see how this would be any different in DS2. I'm not saying you guys are wrong but I'm really not convinced either. This sounds like something I'll have to experience first hand to really get what you guys are talking about. I haven't played nor seen anything of DS2 so more bullshit doesn't sound that bad to me. I'm basing this solely on the precedent DS1 has setting and a quite a bit more.

I don't have DS3, I'm not really sure what you mean by a true sequel. DS2 looks like DS1 so I'll give it a chance based on that and go from there. If I don't like it I'll just come back to DS1. I also don't PVP as PVP in Dark Souls in general sounds incredibly finicky. Hit detection that depends on my internet connection rather than when I actually hit ingame? No thanks. But I've had my fill of DS1's level and monster design. I want something somewhat different and if DS2 provides that with somewhat different mechanics then that's what I'm looking for. As much as I love DS1 it has it's fair share of dodgy mechanics and too. Like how the statuses were handled in DS1. If you're poisoned you are dead unless you have some means of curing yourself. Being cursed was even worse with your health being cut in half even after you die unless you shell out 8000 souls for the cure. The fight with Havel is so cheap at so early in the game. You can't screw up once during that fight or he'll one shot you. He should be considered a boss for how deadly he is instead of Pinwheel who goes down in as little as 5 shots. I'm not even sure how Pinwheel's a boss. And there's also incredibly bullshitty aspects of the level design like the boulder machine in Sen's fortress, the closely-knitted segments of swing axes in Sen's Fortress or the two archers in Anor Londo. My point is I've had my fair share of bullshit from DS1. If DS2's gonna throw more my way then I'm game. I got through DS1's bullshit so why couldn't I be able to get through DS2's?

Dark Souls 1: I killed Ornstein and Smough, got the Lordvessel from Big Tits Mcgee and placed it at Firelink shrine. Now all that's left to do is kill Nito, Seath, Bed of Chaos, the four kings, and finally Gwyn. I'm feeling somewhat tempted to just jump into straight into Dark Souls 2 as I've had my fill of Dark Souls 1 at this point. I'll take a break for now, But I really really want to move on to Dark Souls 2. I'm also slightly annoyed that my build isn't as optimized as I would like it to be. For a dex build I dumped way too many points into endurance. I plan on playing as a Deprived in Dark Souls 2 since I know what I'm doing now.

#32 Vigilantism So lately I've been doing this philosophical exercise in my head. It goes something like this a man murders another man. But the murdered man in question is comparable to Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin in terms of how many atrocities he has committed. Now obviously the former man would be sentenced to life in prison as murder is illegal. But was he morally wrong to murder this person? If society absolutely despised the murdered man because the amount of atrocities he committed would the murderer be absolved of his crimes on a moral basis? When he's dead would the murderer be possibly considered as a Martyr for killing another Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin by his society? This really isn't a discussion on my opinion as haven't come to a conclusion on this. But I would like to hear other people's thoughts.

That is the absolute silliest thing I have ever seen in my life You should try giant dad I had a feeling you'd like it. My Dex build has devolved into kinda doing whatever. I think Dark Souls has melted my brain at this point But in all seriousness it kind of works. No fat rolls and I don't get staggered at all.

I really wanted to play Final Fantasy 15 since the gameplay looked really good. But I don't own any current gen consoles so I can't.

Dark Souls 1: I have discovered the ultimate blend of light and heavy armor, behold Havel Xanthous. I've equipped Xanthous's hat, gloves, Havel's chest, pants and ring. This allows me to dodge roll like normal but I'm no longer being staggered.

Condemned: Criminal Origins. It starts out strong with good atmosphere. But the combat is unforgivably repetitive,sluggish and the story gets worse as it goes on. I didn't care for the story at all. I was near the end and I had stopped due to sheer boredom. Once I picked it up again I rushed through the game just so I could finish it. Right now I have nothing but utter contempt for this game. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Right now I want slam my head into my desk and my brain wants to explode, fuck this game. Back to Dark Souls 1 for me, a game with good combat.

@SelfSurprise I'm fine with any portraits. But I would tend to say they need to be expressive and have a lot to work like with the portraits I picked. I would highly suggest looking through portrait packs like the Super Ultimate Portrait Pack for Pillars of Eternity. Monster portraits can be expressive too but this one just isn't. It's really generic, there's little to no expression in her face and there isn't any lighting to give an impression of mood. My brain immediately jumped to Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy and if you've seen that movie you know how boring of a character she is. I kept drawing blanks when trying to come up with a character for that portrait. People need to get a feel for what they think the portrait is trying to express in terms of mood. In that case there's nothing to work with that portrait. Look at the portrait I made Syron/Re'vialis out of. The person in that portrait looks incredibly weary, tired and has quite a bit of spitefulness in his face. His face spoke to me saying "I've seen a lot of shit and I intend to cause more.". The lighting in the portrait has this reddish, muddy hue to it. There is a sense of rage and spite not only of the person's face but also of the lighting.

Yep, Ross called me out for asking too many questions and the chat subsequently shamed me. The whole thing was freaking hilarious. I was laughing my ass off the whole entire time. I'm now officially "That guy who asked Ross too many questions that one time.". I'll be up there with the WoW Red Shirt Guy or something. I just started recording with OBS and I wanted to know everything you do so I could replicate the same level quality as the regular Game Dungeons since you said the quality might be lacking from with the spinoff. Dark Souls 1: Does anyone have advice on Sen's Fortress? I'm getting annihilated. Those axes are a nightmare to dodge roll through. Amazingly most of the time I've survived the fall. There's quite a few Titanite Demons down there so I killed them all.
