  1. So would it be called Fallout: New New Orleans? But in all seriousness I would like to see Obsidian make another Fallout game. New Vegas was a great game.
  2. @Meelis13 They have to be free to play as that's one of Ross's criteria for his play sessions which neither C&C Renegade nor GTA San Andreas are. Not to mention they're old games so if one of Ross's fans was running Windows 10 they probably wouldn't be able to play due to compatibility issues. Renegade X https://renegade-x.com/ would work as it's C&C Renegade but free and much newer. I don't know how Ross would go about handling servers though. He couldn't host his own server as hosting around 200 people who're probably tens of thousands of miles away from him would be nigh on impossible. You can pretty much eliminate any game that isn't a free to play MMO right off the bat.
  3. Can I wipe my 500gb Windows 7 HDD and reinstall Windows 7 on one of the SSDs so I could use my 500gb HDD for extra storage or is that a bad idea? I'm not sure why it would be but I wanted to check to be sure.
  4. Are they considered to be abandonware? I can't find anywhere to buy them from. Also what was the name of that Starcraft mod you mentioned earlier? I went and found my old copy of Starcraft and would like to give the mod a go.
  5. That's what I kept thinking as well. From what I've seen a good portion of Dark Soul's difficulty stems from patience. People have described Dark Souls as hard but fair and if that's the case then it probably won't be that challenging for me. Depends on which module you play in M&B Warband. The default module's really easy while something like Blood & Steel is great. I'm pretty sure Blood & Steel was made for people like me. I have considered doing ironman runs on games that normally don't have it. Already did Planescape Torment, Undertale, Bastion, Bioshock, Spec Ops: The Line, Working on Fallout 2 and still haven't finished Witcher 3.
  6. Yeah I really can't afford an Intel DDR4 platform. I have around $100 to spend so basically enough to get a component for my already made FX-8320 PC. So would 2 120gb Mushkin SSDs be better than 1 Crucial MX200 250GB SSD? That's the other SSD I was looking at but I can only afford one at that price. Are there any beginners guides that you could recommend for me to follow? I've never done this kind of setup before and I don't know exactly what I'm doing. I'm not even sure what kind of software I should be looking into getting.
  7. Yeah, I've been noticing that lately. It didn't really occur to me that was the case until a friend pointed it out to me. I kept trying to encourage them to try harder difficulties but they insisted that was beyond them. I really didn't understand it for a while. It's almost as if we weren't even playing the same games even though we were.
  8. The closest I've played to a rhythm game is probably Undertale and I beat that fairly easily. I remember one of friends spent hours trying to defeat Muffet on a pacifist run and it took me only one go. He watched me breeze through that fight and was thoroughly crushed. He's also described my level of play as nonhuman or insane on multiple occasions. You could also describe Super Meat Boy as a rhythm game in a way but that's more of what SMB plays like. I've also beaten SMB. So yea, rhythm games probably aren't that challenging to me either. I've already beaten episode I on Nightmare and am currently working my way through episode II. Grenades are pretty easy to dodge since the ogres are crap shots and they don't blow up immediately as long as they don't hit you. I've never really had any problems with the ogres to be honest. It's the fiends that are awful to me. They take forever to kill and their leap makes them hard to aim for.
  9. No, I said it's only a matter of time before I'll be able to play on Inhuman and Godlike difficulties. I'm currently on Masterful and have been consistently winning matches on Masterful. I'll be working on moving up to Inhuman shortly.
  10. I'm interested in making my own videos similar to what Ross does with his game dungeon so that would fall under the categories video editing, rendering and recording gameplay footage I believe. Though Ross has got an FX 8350 so I don't know how much I would benefit from getting an i5 4690k. Maybe I should focus on getting an SSD instead. I'm honestly not to sure what I should be focusing on hardware wise.
  11. I have a question, if I wanted to upgrade from my FX-8320 what would be the most ideal CPU to upgrade to? The i5 4690K looks pretty good. But there's appears to be little benefit from getting an i7 4770k or an i7 4790k.
  12. Now I know it might be tempting to throw username's bile straight back at him but it will only fuel him further. I would very much appreciate it if we all could exercise a bit of restraint. OT:Eel/Eels
  13. I should see if I can get Slain to play Painkiller's OST. All I'd probably need to do is change the filenames for Painkiller's OST and swap them out with Slain's OST. That might make for an interesting project once I get Slain.
  14. The combat looks like a major improvement. It's a shame that their still using that generic metal soundtrack though. Are the devs going to be revamping the soundtrack as well? I would love to see something along the lines of Painkiller's soundtrack for this game. As it stands Slain's soundtrack kinda kills the mood for me but it's not a deal breaker since I'm more than impressed by the revamped combat system.
  15. Drained and depressed, over the course of several hours my normally enthusiastic nature regarding video games has all but dissipated. It started out simple enough with me riled up about the AAA gaming and gradually spiraled downward from there. I kept pulling apart the shitty flaws the games industry has and by the end I just wanted everything to burn. I'll probably get over it as I usually do but right now I feel pretty venomous and shitty. How do you go from mild cynicism to wanting to destroy the thing you cared for and treasured so deeply?
  16. I've been trying to learn how to play Starcraft 2. I'm currently playing Zerg and I seem to have everything down except for build orders. They're so easy to screw up.
  17. Nope, I lost interest in Doom around episode 3. The game wasn't hard enough and I didn't find the congealed mass of space marines, cyberdemons and heavy metal to be all that compelling to continue playing either. In terms of artistic cohesion Doom feels like someone smashing their toys together. I've since moved on to Quake I on Nightmare difficulty and haven't looked back since. I very much appreciate Quake I's Gothic aesthetic and ambient noise. Quake I feels so much more tense to play than Doom and I've found myself taking a break occasionally because it is that intense. Speaking of which I really should get back to it. In terms of the wads I've seen I guess that abandoned Ghostbusters one looks pretty nifty though I haven't played it.
  18. Well, what kind of serious discussion were you expecting? There isn't a whole lot of substance on offer by simply announcing that someone's a pirate. Don't be afraid to ask questions or write whole paragraphs if that's what you're after. That's what you'll have to do that if you want a serious discussion otherwise short and tangential questions will be met with short and tangential answers.
  19. I feel as though the video games that I play aren't being challenging anymore and I've played some games with insane levels of difficulty. Super Meat Boy, Unreal Tournament 2004, Quake I, Undertale with all of these games I eventually mastered them and then they effectively became jokes in terms of difficulty for me. The only one I can say is still challenging me is Unreal Tournament but it's only a matter of time before I'll be able to play on Inhuman and Godlike difficulties. I tried going outside of my comfort zone and playing strategy games like HoMM but that didn't take long to master either. Now I've become so bored with video games and I don't know what to do.
  20. If the vast majority is unable to access more strategy and variation then those aspects practically aren't there. I'm not saying that's bad thing but there's a barrier for entry when it comes to high level play and most people won't put in the effort to see the game for what it truly is. For instance I'm a high level Unreal Tournament player. I know all the little intricacies when it comes to Unreal and I know which weapons to use at what time purely from memory. Now if I sit someone down who's never played Unreal Tournament before he's not going to see these aspects, get slaughtered, ultimately shrug off the game and probably not going to pick Unreal Tournament up ever again. OT:Grim Dawn
  21. Yeah I found Hearthstone to be boring as well. There aren't that many strategies outside of smashing your cards against your opponent's cards and variations of that. Hearthstone isn't very entertaining to watch either.
  22. "Do what you want because a pirate is free, you are a pirate." i8ju_10NkGY Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
  23. Can we please stay on-topic rather than continuously bickering at each other over nothing? OT: Grim Dawn Started my second character. A Demolitionist/Elementalist and he's so much fun to play. The Grenado ability has got some nice bite to it.
