  1. Hey it's another old forum person, Hi there.
  2. 72Ew-awbsNw Just found this today, it's fucking hilarious.
  3. *In a 1700s Aristocratic British Accent* Why hello madam, I must say your bust and figure look ever so pleasing, fancy a shag?
  4. You're not the only one, I've come across insane couples that made me wonder "How the fuck are you two even together?". I mean you would think that polar opposite personalities would hate each other to death and couldn't stand being near one another. But I guess opposites do attract, at least for morons. "I hate this person I hate so much that I'm going to marry them because that makes fucking sense in my pathetic excuse for a brain." . I mean fuck, do these people have any self awareness whatsoever? I hate people sometimes. In fact most of the time I do.
  5. @Jeb_CC do you have a console that outputs errors when you run it? If not then go over the most common troubleshooting and work your way up. Check that none of your variables are assigned null, check where you're calling said variables for typos, check that all of your starting curly braces and brackets have a likewise ending curly brace or bracket, etc. If your code becomes hard to read see what sort of clutter you can eliminate to make it more readable such as comments and better syntax arrangement. If you still need those comments then cut and paste them into a blank .txt file. You can always paste them back into your code once you have it working properly again. It's also not a bad idea to make a new copy of your code by rewriting your entire code from scratch if you still can't see what the compiler is complaining about. Patience is a virtue when it comes to programming. Compilers are the grammar nazis of programming so any error you make but can't see they will complain about. However unlike grammar nazis compilers don't always point out exactly where you went wrong. I hope this was helpful.
  6. Deus Ex GOTY With GMDX Mod: I had JC merge with Helios as that seemed to be the lesser of three evils IMO. Tracer Tong's plan was extreme so that was right out. I also trust a hyper intelligent AI to run the world better than a group of cowardly old men like the Illuminati. I also don't believe Helios is insane like Ross said either. From my perspective Helios was pure curiosity without restraint and the somewhat rational part of Helios knew that it needed stability in order to rule effectively. So merging with JC was a logical choice.
  7. Wow I feel like total idiot for not seeing it. There was even a blue line on the floor that lead straight too it. I know, I'm excited to see what improvements GMDX 9.0 has.
  8. "See? I told you my breasts are shaped like my ass. If they weren't in front of me you wouldn't be able to tell the difference."
  9. Deus Ex GOTY With GMDX Mod: I'm at Area 51. There's a forcefield which prevents me from going to the room with augmented Bob Page. How do I turn it off?
  10. NecroVisioN is on both Amazon and Steam for $4.99 if you're interested. https://www.amazon.com/1C-40331NecroVision-NecroVision-Download/dp/B003P2VITC/ref=sr_1_1_twi_sof_2?ie=UTF8 http://store.steampowered.com/app/7860/ The DRM free Amazon download needs to be patched to v.1.2 after downloading and installing which you can find here ftp://ftp.1cpublishing.eu/Patches/Necrovision/Patch%201.2./EFIGS_HU_PL/NecroVisioN%20patch%201.2.exe . No idea about the Steam version as I have Amazon version. I go out of my way to get DRM free copies of games if I can so up to you where you get your copy from. The gunplay is very similar to a WW1 shooter. In the first level of the game you'll get a pistol, bolt action rifle, shotgun and dual wielded machine guns. The dual wielded machine guns are very erratic and have a nasty amount of kick to them so you'll want fire in short bursts. Also the iron sights in this game are terrible. So unless you're trying to get headshots I'd highly recommend sticking to hip fire. There is also a melee button (middle mouse click) but depending on the weapon you're using it will really jerk the camera around. Just a few pointers before you start playing the game. I think NecroVisioN has a couple problems but just like Painkiller I'm having fun despite their presence. For me NecroVisioN fits like a glove.
  11. That's actually not too far fetched considering that companies right now are replacing workers with robots that can do the jobs of multiple workers. Not exactly the right prediction when it comes to reality but pretty close. Replace robots with augmented workers and those instances become somewhat similar. Tell that to the people who played and enjoyed the classic Fallout games. To this day those people still hate Fallout 3 & 4 for not being like 1 nor 2. Which ever game in a franchise you start with and enjoy sets a precedent for what you expect out of it's sequel. If the sequel then doesn't meet or raise the bar their predecessor set then you in turn will be disappointed. You started with and enjoyed Deus Ex: Human Revolution and so that's where your bar is. For the sake of argument I'll also assume you liked Deus Ex: Mankind divided just as much as Human Revolution because from what I've heard from reviews they're pretty similar games. Mankind Divided has met your bar because all you know in regards to Deus Ex is Human Revolution. Ross started with and enjoyed the original Deus Ex GOTY . Keep in mind that Deus Ex GOTY is considered by many long time gamers to be the greatest game of all time. So that's one hell of a precedent set right of the bat and judging by Ross's Game Dungeon for Deus Ex GOTY his feelings towards the game very much align with this precedent. So when neither Invisible War nor Human Revolution came anywhere near meeting Ross's expectations for them he was disappointed and rightly so. Those games aren't what Deus Ex means to him. This is the problem we eventually run into with sequels/new games entering already established franchises. Depending on which game you start with and enjoy that's what you'll think of in regards to the rest of the franchise whether all games within are completely the same or different from one another. Hell I'm willing to wager that there's a group of Deus Ex fans who only like Invisible War and believe that the rest of the Deus Ex fan base are nothing but a bunch of crazy people. For them Deus Ex means one thing, the Kidneythieves.
  12. It's called reaching an impasse and happens all the time. Just leave if it's making you so miserable.
  13. Then why did you post here to begin with? You can just email Ross about your concerns if you don't want your opinion being called into question by anyone else besides him. Doesn't mean he'll agree with your opinion though and kind of defeats purpose of discussion if you aren't willing to come to terms with the fact that people's opinions differ from your own but whatever.
  14. My name's no where near as cool. I just mashed together "Heliocentric" and the latter half of 'Radical", thus Heliocentrical.
  15. Don't you see how absurd and jarring a jump from Deus Ex 1's grounded reality to Fifth Element levels of weirdness is? I completely agree with Ross's assessment that this property should be it's own separate entity rather than be held back by using the Deus Ex title in it's name. Like he said it's anchor around Human Revolution's neck that will on serve to constrict it in terms of artistic freedom. People who have played the original Deus Ex GOTY which established what was so fundamental about Deus Ex as a franchise will come into Human Revolution expecting it to be just like Deus Ex GOTY. Also you seem really hung up over the anime comparison Ross made. He only said it a couple and even then they seemed more like backhand sort of comment rather than the meat of his argument. I have never watched anime in my entire life but I can still see all the problems Deus Ex: Human Revolution had. The animations seemed awkward and out of place IMO.
  16. NecroVisioN: Put Painkiller and a WW1 shooter into a blender and you've got NecroVisioN. Your character is Duke Nukem's lesser known cousin from Texas and it's as amazing as it sounds. He constantly spouts 1 liners while blasting away hordes of WW1 zombies with dual wielded machine guns. Not the most authentic WW1 experience but to be honest fuck authenticity. This is great.

  18. "I AM THE PINK, GUM SKULL OF DOOM!!! I HAVE COME TO RECLAIM THE LOST SOULS OF MY THOROUGHLY MASTICATED BRETHREN!!! THE HUMANS WILL PAY FOR STICKING THEM UNDERNEATH TABLES AND STOMPING UPON THEM!!! THERE SHALL BE NO MERCY FOR GUM CHEWERS TODAY!!!"
  19. You alright? sounds like you were practically in a coma for a half a day.
  20. Don't forget about Unreal Tournament's AI. In a Deathmatch on Inhuman or Godlike diffulties they can be pretty remarkable. But yeah FEAR's AI is top notch too. I beat FEAR and it's two expansions. I wish there was more for me to do in FEAR like mods or something.
  21. I'm so glad Ross is done with Deus Ex: Invisible War and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Now he can go back to doing obscure games which is what I watched the channel for. BTW Ross when will we be hearing more from Dead Game News? You mentioned in the september videochat that you've let it pile up so I'm very concerned for what has died.
  22. Does drinking water help at all? I know that probably isn't very helpful but whenever I felt dizzy and nauseous it was caused by slight dehydration. That's all I can think of.
  23. Schweppes Ginger Ale or Barq's Root Beer. I am very picky when it comes to soda. Most of them taste like drinking a bag of sugar with some vague sentiment of flavor. Also colas suck. What is your favorite edition of D&D?
  24. Yes exactly, they should just stick to making games with solid mechanics and polish them to a mirror shine as that is their strong suit. I would much rather have a game with good mechanics with practically no story then a half-assed RPG that tries to do everything and fails miserably. I hate it when developers bite off more than they can chew with games like Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Bioshock. If you can't do something well don't do it at all. Start with something good and refine it.
  25. You completely missed what I said. I said indies can be as spotty or worse than AAA developers. But indies at least have the opportunity to make games that are innovative and original whereas AAA game developers do not. AAA developers are under the constant pressure of corporate oversight and deadlines. AAA developers barely have room to breath and I feel sorry for them because they have no alternatives outside of risky ones. Unless publishers start wanting to make innovative and original games I don't see how anything will change for the AAA games industry. Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Mankind Divide, Bioshock, etc weren't made because their publisher wanted to push this medium forward or because they loved the medium, no they were made to make a profit. Those games were average and serviceable because that's all they needed to be in order to appeal to the average consumer which also happens to be the largest consumer base. This is how marketing works. Since I want to see this medium at it's best I hate average games. I consider them a waste of my fucking time and if I don't have single good thing to say about them then by all means they should forgotten, left to wallow in their shallow mediocrity as failures of their medium. It's not enough for a game to be serviceably average, it needs to be exceptional or at least be exceptional at something. Also Hello Games isn't indie anymore since No Man's Sky was marketed largely by Sony. They were independent but not anymore when they accepted help from sony to hype the living fuck out their game.
