Questions: 1. Have you played the original Rouge and if so, what do you think of the new resurgence of rogue-lites thanks to the popularity of the Binding of Isaac? 2. This is kind of a heavy question but what are your thoughts on the war on drugs and how we handle drug offenders/dealers in today's society?

We get this a fair bit in Australia (although not nearly as severe as Germany of course) so I understand your pain.

It will be live, but I don't know how it works, it might be only his subscribers can watch it live. Somebody familiar with the podcast might know the answer. It'll be live for everyone to watch on twitch.tv/totalbiscuit but chat is subscriber only, same as the vid going up. However the vid will be up on Thursday on his YT channel.

Yet I can get 3 1080p monitors with 144Hz refresh for less than $600... http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100160979%20600338123%20600417886%20600255030%204814%204017&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=90 Or a 2k (QHD, 1440p, 2560x1440, or whatever moniker best suits your fancy) monitor with 144Hz refresh with FreeSync for under $500... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009769 The price of a phone with similar resolutions isn't even that bad, you'd actually have to buy 2 cell phones with 2k displays to get to that price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&IsNodeId=1&N=100161551%204814%20600536970 The price of the Oculus is designed to rip you off. None of those are IPS panels except for the phones, and I don't know what the refresh rates and response times are on those. Maybe getting a custom one in mobile space to operate at 90hz drives up the cost more. I can see there being some additional overhead. Also I could be mistaken, but I think the Rift is using OLED panels which might cost more. I can see it actually taking $600, I just question the argument that they're not making money off of it, what exactly is the business model then? Console manufacturers can sell below cost (though they haven't in a long time) because they make up the revenue off of licensing fees on games. OR doesn't seem to be doing that either. I believe it's been said that they're going to profit of of software sales in the "oculus store". At least, that's what they've said I think.

Call me when these monitors offer the same VR features that the Oculus does. Resolution and refresh rate aside, the actual VR tech itself is the really killer. Not only that but, even after using the DK2, the actual physical quality of the Rift is super high-end. This (and the Vive) will be the "980 Ti's" of the first wave of VR. You think that if the new lineup of Nvidia GPU's with the new shrunk die technology was announced to cost $650-700 that people would be this angry? No, because the communication of the price was handled poorly. If Palmer Luckey hadn't given that infamous "ball-park" quote then I imagine that the backlash from this would not be nearly as significant.

I'm honestly not surprised whatsoever that the Rift is $600. It's basically a really high-end monitor with some new and inventive tech. Getting a high refresh rate/high resolution monitor will set you back around that amount too. And I mean, why did people expect the Rift to be this incredible success to the masses? Considering the system requirements, the masses wouldn't be able to use the Oculus even if it was $300. I honestly think that people are really just mad because they had hyped it up way too much and set entirely unreasonable standards.

Sounds good! Can't wait to watch

At least they have the ingredients to make the stuff. XP Gonna cook 'em up some nice lamb roast! Apparently they don't have lamb that often. X3 I love lamb. XD No LAMB?! That's it, worse country ever!

Fair enough! I've heard that even their bread tastes sweet. X3 But... yeah... that's just something I heard. When I get there, I'm making ALL the Australian food. Gonna make some fairy bread. XD And lamingtons. Delicious! On my to-do list; Whenever I'm in public, put on my THICKEST Australian accent. And also call McDonalds by 'Maccas', every single time. XP Yeah wtf is up with their bread? Sweet? There is a reason why we put sprinkles and nutella on it Also the lack of Fairy Bread and Lamingtons is complete heresy. I cannot fathom a worse kind of hell to be in

X3 My diet is already like 99% sugar. XD It's so bad, but I'm a fussy little shit so. I have been eating jellybeans for the past hour now. American food sounds like my BITCH. XP But in all seriousness: I hope to visit a few nice restaurants whilst over there... would be really nice. We gotta bloody tip the waiters though, don't we? Bah, what's the point of a tip then if it's bloody compulsory? Might as well be on my freakin bill! Bludgers... the lot of them. XD At least the food is cheaper over there than here. X3 $30 for a bloody piece of steak. Fahkin hell mate. I don't have money trees growing in my yard, ya ear-bashing money-sucking dipsticks. LOL, excuse my random rant. Food probably costs a lot here because we live on a freaking island. XD Takes extra effort to get anything to us! I mean hey, if sugar's your thing, more power to you. America should be fan-bloody-tastic XD Personally, I can't handle it (health reasons and the sort). Yep, agreed. Trying to get a decent steak or BBQ around where I live is a nightmare in of itself, let alone how much it costs :S

I'm half persian so I visted Iran when I was very young (3 or 4 years old so I don't remember much). I also visted Malaysia when I was 14 which was freaking awesome. Apart from that nowhere else. How about you? And yeah it always bugs me the way americans pronounce Melbourne :/ Sweet! I'm a bit of everything really. XP Blood from Britian, Royal blood from the Shang/(Yin) dynasty in China, Dutch and Egyptian. :3 I'm a fucking princess. XD Haven't been out of the country though, no. I plan to go to LA in December though... For a month. :3 Should be fun. The Melbourne thing though, ah, just take it as a chance to mock them! And it's not even Americans that say it wrong I've found. XP We can just mock the entire world together. I mean the Persian thing is only on my dad's side. My mother on the other hand? Pretty much ALL of western Europe runs through her blood We're talking English Isles, Germany, Scandinavia, the works. Hopefully you enjoy the US! I had a mate go over there earlier this year for a school Band performance and he said it was great but the food is apparently SUPER sugery and fake so, watch out for that I guess

Ever been out of the country? I find it slightly amusing that the only big thing between us is the Bass Strait. X3 Anyone I've met in Australia online usually live in Brisbane or Perth. But oh my gosh, isn't it entertaining to hear non-Australian's trying to say Aussie words? Bris-bayn. Mel-boorne. I'm half persian so I visted Iran when I was very young (3 or 4 years old so I don't remember much). I also visted Malaysia when I was 14 which was freaking awesome. Apart from that nowhere else. How about you? And yeah it always bugs me the way americans pronounce Melbourne :/

You guys should have like... Combined year groups in Primary like 3-4 or 5-6. X3 This 11-12 thing is I believe an uncommon thing to do. But we're all learning the same thing in the end so. :3 Ever been to any other states? I used to live in WA. Actually did a 5 day drive with the parents from Perth, through SA, all the way to Melbourne! That... Wasn't fun. XD I get car sick dammit! But I've been to pretty much every state except NT. Yeah we had composite classes back in years 3&4 and 5&6 but thats it. I've only visited Adelaide and Sydney unfortunately I plan on road tripping around the country eventually (I don't get car sick that's not a problem )
