But China is a glowing crater. Is that China though? It's hard to tell. Plus China is a really big place -

I don't know about that. Teleportation was only being made at Big Mountain as far as we know and even then it most likely wasn't fully working until after the war. The Institute didn't create it until after the war as the Institute wasn't around before the great war (While it was C.I.T. it wasn't developed into a massive underground research institute until after the war by the survivors of C.I.T.) Those two had the brightest minds in America which was going through a massive technological renaissance before the great war due to the war effort and finding new ways to create energy like solar power and micro-fusion. -
Stardew Valley, just hit winter so everything is slow

Another game getting killed off (Nosgoth)

Nah, Square does this. Like what they did with the Sleeping Dogs MMO, Triad Wars, that was being developed. They announced it to a few sites, did very little to promote it before closing it down. -
Europa Univeralis 4. I've been playing the sequel to the Third Odyssey mod which is a mod that has the Greeks fleeing from constantinople before the Ottomans invade it and settling in the Americas. It's a unique and fun mod, especially since it adds in a new Greek-themed country, two Norse viking countries in Canada and has a way for a new Spartan-themed country to be founded in Mesoamerica. I went with the Spartan country and made a fusion of Aztec, Zapotec, Mayan and Spartan culture with a fusion of the religions of the four in one. It's really fun.

Huh, never heard of i- Oh it's a non-final fantasy MMO that's owned by Squenix, that's why. -
Haha, I was the opposite type of Morrowind fan. I thought for what it was trying to do Skyrim did a good job, I felt it tried to return to a more realistic feeling unlike Oblivion's overly bright and kinda generic fantasy feeling.

This thread is about games that you were really hyped for, other people hyped it up to be good and when you finally play it everything comes crashing down into a wave of personal disappointment. For me the biggest one would be Dragon's Dogma. I saved up for months when I heard about the PC port because my friends were hyping up the original console version, almost everyone I knew was talking about it like it was one of the greatest games but when I finally played it I had nothing but hatred for that game, from the annoying quest design to the garbage writing nothing about it seemed good.

I've been feeling kinda positive, thinking of actually taking the driver's test soon. I mean, it's 50 relatively easy questions and driving doesn't look too hard to do so I'm pretty sure I can ace it.

Bright, sunny, been around 50-75. I had to mow the lawn in hot weather though so I eagerly await the age of the bio-dome

1. An Evil Genius-esque dungeon builder where you can choose numerous magic characters and build an entire lair around them. Cult leader gets a underground ruined temple, necromancer gets a crypt, sorcerer gets a ruined castle and as you build the interior of your dungeon you'll soon be able to build a fortress and town around your lair that can hold back rivals, warbands and crusaders trying to take over your domain You send out minions to find treasure, special-type people to unlock new classes, spread your influence etc etc. 2. Mod for Elder Scrolls. As you build your influence in the world you're rewarded a fiefdom of a castle and a small village, you need to build up your new home by completing tasks and spending money, dealing with diplomats to unlock trade routes, dealing with bandits and hostiles, set up industry through trade, mining and/or farming, have the option to build a cult and as you do guild questlines it unlocks new things. For instance the Thieves Guild will set up a safehouse with a smuggling operation, completing the merc faction lets you set up a new mercenary faction in your hold or gets you more guards, stuff like that. End goal is to use your skills and talents to build a bustling city out of a small village with your castle becoming a large centerpiece that can be changed for numerous things. Say you want a huge library, so you dedicate a wing to it, want a pleasure den? Pick a tower. Want a mage lab? Pick a wing or tower for it. The choice is yours to pick what room is what.

Large amounts of blood and self-harm. I can't stand either and have to look away whenever it's in a show or a movie.

Honestly a Fallout shelter themed game would work as some vaults were built to be the size of towns. Like Vault 13 was suppose to be massive and the Fallout movie was going to be around a vault so big it had an actual subway system. -
That game you hate that everyone else loves.

I think for it's time it would've been good but it hasn't aged well. -
Nah it's fine I, well I want to say try, to do the same on the Bethesda forums.

Continuing my binge watching of Always Sunny in Philadelphia. How is this show still amazing after ten seasons?
-
It's going to die. Right now it's a really niche thing, Oculus is killing itself with always on DRM and people finding out they record things you say via your mic and send it to Facebook's ad group, Vive's whole thing is that VR games now also need a minimum room size requirement or they won't work, it's overly expensive, devs are selling their games for way to much when most of it is kinda boring arcade games and the system requirements demand you need a pc that is over $2000 to build and most VR games don't really need to be VR tbh. It's not going to do well, there are numerous problems with no real reason to use it

Watching The Tribe, a show from 1999-2003 about kids surviving after a virus wiped out all the adults. It's pretty good, a lot of drama and stuff but it's nice.

Creation engine is a engine that is piggybacking off of Gamebryo which is outdated as hell. I think it's time for a change.

Started up skyrim again, playing a vampire merchant lord. Already got a mod that lets me purchase farms, mills and mines and have a castle mod in mind for her to store all her wealth. Once I get further in I might start my pirating career.
-
Yea that's also a reason. Bethesda really needs to expand their staff so they have more people improving on things...and get a new engine also.

Trying to explain actual history around swords to a bunch of fantasy game players is annoying "Oh but the distinction of one-handed and two-handed swords is blurred because some swords can be used with both hands blah blahblah" yes, some were designed like that and most were either soon outdated or purely ceremonial. From the standard idea of a longsword that didn't actually see much use outside of late medieval to Renaissance era to the Japanese Katana which by the Edo period was purely ceremonious as at that time Japan had stopped fighting with swords and focused more on fighting with archery and spears. Hell, most large swords weren't even all that used themselves. The famous Zweihander? Went out of service in 50 years. Most claymores? Used by nobles and crusader knights that even then were mostly ceremonious. Most types of swords were purely one-handed as two-handed swords were seen as a bad idea on a battlefield and ended up being used only in duels or ceremonies.

I think that's because it's a pre-GECK mod that might not work 100% well. Idk I'm not a modder so I wouldn't really know how that eyebot mod works.

Yea when I was watching that entire scene of Quill and Gamora I couldn't stop laughing because it's so clean that space doesn't work like that, both of them would've been dead in a second if they went into space unprotected. I guess people think it's the same as floating in water which is just nonsensical.
