Only 1 server? Always wondered what happens to old multiplayer games. Might even sneak another shot of Half-Life 2 Deathmatch - haven't touched that for 5 years. ---- Might play some Braid before possibly an early night, but maybe not an early night.

As a steady agnostic, I find both angry atheists and religious throat-shovers *very* hard to bear. Yes, many global atrocities have been committed in the name of some deity or another, but that doesn't make the religion bad. It makes those who took advantage of a benign belief system bad. At the same time, no I'm not going to convert, thankyouverymuch. Religious extremism is definitely one of the worst things humanity has created. All it has done is spread hate. Also, why do I keep on missing the word 'doesn't' when I'm typing? I keep accidentally looking like a monster.

Urgh, if Valve go anywhere near Multiplayer with HL3... ...and they don't need to either. There's more than enough HL-derived multiplayer: almost every multiplayer game made by Valve is taken from elements of Half-Life. If they want to do multiplayer, upgrade Half-Life 2 Deathmatch to include elements from HL3, breathe some new life into that game.

Horrendously laggy Don't Starve Together. Hilariously and frustratingly impossible to play when your character just WILL. NOT. MOVE.

This point still stands, but I did look into the lore, and it's potentially GD-worthy for that. Perhaps once the hype about the game series has died down (not for a long time as Part 3 is now out). Still, I think the mainstream game channels have it covered.

That is something I've pondered about. Would the gameplay style of Half-Life and Half-Life 2 be considered 'outdated' these days? Would Half-Life 3 have to implement a new element of gameplay to make it a 'current' title, not just a continuation of something from 2007? I guess there would be some inevitable contrast because of the Source 2 engine. For me, I'd be happy enough if it looked just like HL2 and finished the story arc.

I know! I think I prefer the original version, but this one is an alright standalone pop-focused translation. The same sort of thing has happened with Diablo Swing Orchestra. Their singer Annlouice left last year to pursue a full-on opera career, and the new singer Kristin isn't an opera singer. The YouTube of their current single is full of people being really unhappy about it. And yes, it's a very different sound to their previous work, but so what? It's still definitely DSO, and DSO are known for smashing genres together.
