Waiting 5 years to play games is fine in my book. I only finished Bioshock last year. I bought the Orange Box in 2011. In fact I'm still looking to play PS2 games that eluded me from when I habitually used that console. I also Completely agree with going into a game blind. I still know nothing about Bioshock Infinite, and won't until I start playing it. I only really find out about games if I know I'll never play them - which is where Zero Punctuation and Markiplier come in. A little curious though - do you know about the game 'The Fall'? It's a side-scroller about a combat AI suit that tries to save the life of its human occupant, and it explores the concepts of the Law of Robotics. It's episodic though, and they've only got one game out so far.

Dunno sadly. "I stick my head out of the gutter for one freaking second and fate shovels SHIT in my face."

My sister used to work in Maplin, and she would get people coming in, saying, "I want a TV cable", and she would reply "Ok, what type?" "What? A TV cable". People don't know technology.

This. I have a bisexual friend, and she's made me realise just how non-binary sexuality actually is. It's pretty ludicrous how complex it is. Gender-fluid; Polyamory; etc. And that's not counting fetishes, either. As a heterosexual male with a preference for romance over lust, I reckon I'm pretty vanilla. Also:

My parents are ten years apart too, as it happens. And just to reiterate: Friends. Just friends. SRSLY. On another note, my ex skyped my friend and she apparently wants to talk to me, but can't really face me. I think the plan is for the three of us to meet up and see how things go. I was all set for her to be a memory, but I guess I can't stay perpetually angry and resentful at her forever.

Extreme deja vu? Also, I'd say come visit me in Newcastle, but the temperature difference might make you reverse straight back on the plane

It's always a gamble. That's why you should be clued up and prepared. Even so, the first time my girlfriend and I put our trust in her contraceptive pill, we were pretty worried. But we turned out ok. Also, another reason for condoms: more contained. Sex may look so romantic and lovely in the films, but it's a messy business. Don't just be prepared with contraception, be prepared to clean stuff up! In a perfect world, we would extraneously merge our DNA and have the child develop in an Egg-type incubator. Sex would only be initiated by taking a pill that activates the sufficient sex-drive.

I wrecked my maths exam too, I know how that feels. After an advised repeated year, I still didn't even get a Fail grade. The paper showed how many marks each question was worth, so I started being strategic, and I thought I'd manage some sort of pass, but one of the final questions had an 'Find x' question part that I couldn't figure out, which prevented me from access to quite a bountiful amount of marks in the next part. In that instant, I knew I'd failed. Which kinda sucked. Haha, we're not acquainted in that way xD We're friends, but I still see it as me being a fan and her being a very minor celebrity. Typically, my family tends to use a bottle of wine as a gesture of thanks, but I have no functioning ID to buy any. Also I'm 22 and she's 30, and we live in opposite ends of the country, so it's just not happening. A friend of mine says we'd make a good couple, but SRSLY, NO. There are no grounds for that sort of interaction.

There's no way it could ever be fully restored. It's honestly every negative thing piled into one object.

That's why when something claims to give you 100% protection, you avoid it like the plague. Generally, I try and keep sex and the acquiring thereof as far down my priorities list as I can manage.

Gah, I gave up too easily trying to find hostels, told the singer of the band I'm seeing, and she's seeing if she can find a solution for it. However I think I just found a possible hostel, meaning I didn't need to inadvertently make her do that (I didn't mean to make her look for a solution, I just said I probably wouldn't make it). I feel so irresponsible and cheeky and bad. I hate backing and forthing on stuff, she's been very generous and selfless. I'm so paranoid I'm coming across that I'm taking her efforts for granted.

BIG fan of SOAD ---- A song by my old band. No I'm not posting a link.

No no no no no no. OT: I'm of the opinion that guns need to be strongly regulated, though as has been pointed out, the Black Market makes that near-impossible. The right to publicly bear arms is funny - walking about carrying an M16...it's just silly. Wearing concealed arms - fair enough, but don't make a big deal of it. Guns are beautiful works of engineering, but they don't give you cool-points. I guess I can't say much, because I've lived in places and communities that don't require the need of domestic firearms. (we tend to solve our arguments with bottles, blades, cigarette ends and whatever part of your body you can get to come in forceful contact with theirs) But eh, I don't plan on owning a gun so I guess I'm not really qualified to comment

Biological impulses yo'. As for age of consent, I'm not too fussed, as long as both parties know what they're doing, and what they're getting themselves into. A lot of people in my school year were popping their cherries at about 14-15. If I had to give a preference, probably 17-18 - at that point most teens are mature enough to deal with it emotionally. Underage masturbation is fine, as that's a form of self-discovery and bodily exploration. As I said back when discussing abortion, Education about sex is the most important factor. How do we stop grooming and abuse? Sadly, education isn't enough. In fact I've no idea, short of enforcing a strict 'interaction barrier' between certain age demographics, which is in many ways a violation of personal liberty. As Operation Yewtree is steadily uncovering, sexual abuse seems to have been pretty deeply embedded in the British Establishment (and let's not mention the various churches).

Haven't heard it in yonks, but that Alestorm cover is the BOSS. "Ya Gobshite" xD ---- In a bit of a pickle. I thought I had figured out trains and accommodation for going to Wales this week, but didn't notice the train back was a 14-hour trip due to needing an overnight stay (National Rail Enquiries is a dick like that). But I had already booked my accommodation. I NOW have what I hope to be a solution, with slightly different trains and new accommodation, but first I'll need to phone the place in the morning, book it, then cancel my first place (which will charge full-fare, but it was cheap enough anyway). I just hope I don't forget to phone, considering it's 3am, and I have band practice from 12-3pm, and I've been getting up at 1pm the past few days. OH LOOK I HAVE DEGREE TO FINISH AS WELL *Stress*

Sounds like we need to initiate our own Operation Little Vittles for Jeb.

Indeed, YouTube is where hate thrives. Random, irrational, venomous, directionless. The term 'Haters gonna hate' is a pretty good way to deal with whatever negative feelings they throw at you. Also, to use wrestling lingo, 'marks gonna mark', or 'fanbois gonna fan'. But here's the deal with FNAF: the gameplay is pretty dull, and while it's probably pretty intense at first, the One Trick Pony-ness would cause many players to give up out of tedium, once the jumpscares wear off. What it DOES have in droves, however, is background story. On the face of it, you're just trying to not get killed by animatronics. But the explanation for WHY it all happens - shown in the minigames in FNAF 2&3 - is what really makes it a horror game. It's incredibly unsettling. Having watched Markiplier's playthroughs and the videos by TheGameTheorists, I appreciate the game much more, because it's definitely much more than a simple Jumpscare game. Just a shame that's what a lot of people are in it for. Personally I'd have it so you had to walk about the restaurant rather than just sit, but that mechanic is debatable for effectiveness.
