  1. Just found this thread for Gun talk: viewtopic.php?f=55&t=5915 As for talking about Gun Control, the recent incident in South Carolina once again makes me despair about gun usage. It would seem that overdue child support is a capital offense. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/apr/08/michael-slager-south-carolina-officer-walter-scott-fired If the right to carry firearms by both police and citizen wants good justification, people need to know when the time is right to open fire. A situation like this is not the time. Surely America is not a hostile-enough place to make firing a gun the go-to solution. I don't hate guns - I think they're beautiful works of engineering, and the evolution of firearm technology is fascinating. But to use a firearm in a situation that doesn't need it suggests you are either too trigger-happy or too easily frightened to own one.
  2. Any machine gun that gets exceptionally hot. I would modify the mechanism to function underwater, and place the barrel in a large container of water. The heat generated from the constant firing would cause the water to boil. This would then drive a turbine, producing energy. The rounds and shells I would smelt to create infinite metal resources. I know a few gun fans on here, so I will open this question as an aside for them. ---- If you had to swap two body parts around?
  3. Sounds like a plan! The Berekley 2 has lovely practice rooms.
  4. As long as I had a way to refresh myself, I would do EVERYTHING. On the topic of no sleep, my coursemates recently did an experiment: http://sleepydep.blogspot.co.uk/ If you had to replace one part of your body with a machine?
  5. You guys :3 I'm always up for hugs, regardless of gender, race, species, molecular composition...(you ever tried hugging pillows? Very comfy)
  6. About to get ready for a busy week.
  7. The implied facepalm is my go-to. ------ PORRIDGE TODAY GROMIT. TUESDAY.
  8. FEZ. It's got a lovely game mechanic where you're in a 3D world, but can only interact in 2D, requiring you to rotate the world in order to solve the various puzzles. Also kinda taking a break from games by and large right now. Need to devote all my time to getting my degree.
  9. Had a long chat with that girl I'm in love with. Long and short, she never felt the same way. Which makes me feel kinda bummed, but at the same time, knowing that is a good trigger for some well-needed closure. I'm all set for moving on, middle fingers high in the air.
  10. Chilling at home, before commencing my timetable of work.
  11. I would create the most ridiculous rollercoaster. I would also go the North Korea, and catch every missile they test fire, placing it back on the ground, saying "No" every time. Also possibly become a vigilante, noclip-ing to various tragedies and snatching the weapons from mass-murders, also saying "No" each time. If you had a constantly regenerating plate of sandwiches?
  12. I'm travelling home to the Isle Of Arran right now. I'm currently on a train at Polmont. It feels so GOOD to be back in Scotland. The various accents make me feel at home. I love it. This week is going to be a challenge, because I'm a near-chronic procrastinator - which is what screwed up my Semester 1 submissions in January. BUT, I have made a timetable of what I need to do while I'm on Arran, and I must stick to it at all costs, because I've two months left of Uni and have a lot of work to do! Seductive: *deep voice* I'm on a long, gently trembling train to spend a week in a lush double bed and work very hard... Naughty: I'm bailing on my house that I promised my housemates I'd clean (but didn't) for a week with my parents, where I won't need to have any responsibilities. Heeheehee! Touchy: I'm going home, ok? Now leave me alone! Shut up!
  13. The menstrual cycle is one of the least understood things by the male gender. We simply don't have a point of reference to know what it must be like. All we have are awkward boners and a constant urge put our genitals in various openings. I have very limited knowledge of human biology, but I'm fairly sure our hormones are never in as much a state of flux as a woman's. I'm also pretty certain that distinction is a key factor in the social divide of male and female. ---- This keeps happening to me:
  14. A Rancid Romance - Diablo Swing Orchestra Tango Metal, yo.
  15. yJWLYsa8DhQ For the third consecutive time.
  16. Well said
  17. I've been feeling a variety of feelings lately. Sadly, most of them have been pretty negative on the feelings spectrum. Then again, I'm a constant worrier, anxious and rather paranoid (what if telepathy exists and I'm transmitting my whirlwind of thoughts to everyone on the Metro?). But...on the bright side, I had a smashing gig last night, which included a band photoshoot. I'm heading home for a week on Monday, and I'm bustling with anticipation to get stuck into all the things I need to do (A source of anxiety, but I know it'll be rather fun once the ball is rolling). So, a mixed bag. ---- I'm also game for you telling me to act out certain moods from my avatar
  18. Banned for not quite having a month's time before replying.

  20. You're not actually talking to Luis, BTG. You're just being paranoid. (and hallucinating)
  21. Nah, that's fair enough. It kinda reminded me of the video where a reporter interviewed a guy at an EDL (English Defense League) march. He mentioned "Muslamic Ray Guns". But you're way smarter than him. Way, way smarter But while we're on the topic of Islam, I'm becoming more and more despairing about the damage groups like IS, Al Shabaab, and Boko Haram are causing to the Islam faith, and to the Middle-Eastern ethnic demographic. And when I hear about teenagers travelling to places like Syria to join these groups, it's thoroughly depressing. I know there's a thread or two for this in the Serious Topic board, but I guess I'm also venting my frustration at how these extremist and oppressive groups are being able to grow and radicalise ordinary, rational people with irrational and narrow-minded ideologies.
  22. THE COMBO, IT BROKE. ---- I saw The Juggernaut Love Band tonight, and part of their song "ConDemNation" where they sing "Yippe Aye Yayyyyyy" is on repeat in my head. Here's a video I took of them playing that song, from last year: pOxs7kxzbR8
