And another follower in me Great tune once again! ---- My band got some airplay on BBC Newcastle last night, and two of us got interviewed on Radio Prudhoe a few hours ago. I won't lie, this was all pretty unexpected! Nice bit of exposure though.

I had that for about 3 years. I sounds like an existential crisis. I had more typed up here, but I was rambling, so instead I'll be more brief. Essentially I imagined I was on a conveyor belt that I could not get off of. At the end of the line is death, and I am steadily moving towards it, with nothing I can do to change it. With each day I am getting closer to that end point. At the time I was turning 20, and now I am 23; I have finished education, and before long I will be approaching 30. I was gripped by the notion that I will wake up one day and realise that I am 60 years old, but feel that 30 was yesterday. (Steven Wilson wrote "Time Flies" because he felt like his childhood was an eternity, and then once he turned 18, he turned 40 in the click of the fingers.) The result was a very primal feeling of fear, my survival instinct desperately trying to find a solution, to live on. Eventually I could divert my thoughts and calm down, but this was many, many nights for me, until I grew to accept the situation, and realise how much time I actually have. Provided I don't get killed by something, I have the opportunity to have a colourful, memorable life. I owe it it to the concept the existence to enjoy the life I have and make the most of it. ---- I got new formal shoes today. Cutting into my ankles. Ow.

Two films: 1) 'This Changes Everything'. 6/10. A documentary about oil and global warming. It didn't really say much about "this is what will happen if we keep burning fossil fuels!", more of a "This is what's being done to access and use fossil fuels, and this is what is happening to because of it", based more on people than the environment. It was rather depressing to see the attitudes held by some. Like this guy who said "if you want to help the elephants, market their ivory." /facepalm 2) The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. 7/10. Pretty dece', though I called most of the twists. I guess I should go read the books and see what was left out, as is the way with Book-to-film adaptations.

I know them videos, they're wonderful! One highlight is "KRANKENHAUS!" Such a glorious word! Sounds like a glitch in the Matrix. Surely things can't go wrong that consecutively!?

I'm still ol' Binky. Old because I've been going by that name on forums for 10 years now. However I just joined a bass forum and decided with my irl nickname 'Tibz'. I guess because I see it more linked to a possible career? And most people here in Newcastle call me it.

Airstrikes may gradually smoke out Daesh, but they're not exactly being helpful for Syria's citizens. After all, the combination of strikes and Daesh's presence is the reason why they're seeking refuge in Europe. I think it'd be pretty hard to persuade them to wait out the conflict, and accept the possibility of being killed by accident. That's the real problem Europe faces - the more we degrade and compare muslims to benefit-scrounging rats, the more attractive Daesh's cause becomes. Better to kill as an empowered 'somebody' than rot away as a nobody. This brushes on the separate issue of equality, but if we convince this community that our society is good and worth living in, then they'll be much less inclined and susceptible to join Daesh.

Nothing makes me rage faster and harder than technology that doesn't do what it's supposed to do, or what it says it does. That mouse was cheap and nasty anyway - I got it for free along with a keyboard that instantly malfunctioned. It worked, but was actually pretty uncomfortable. I'm not going to miss it. (I may have broken the plastic chassis.)

A good few times, if my footing had been just slightly different to what it had been. You know when trip slightly but regain your balance? I see myself continue on that trajectory, usually down a flight of steps. God knows how badly hurt I could have been, if not breaking my neck. Kinda sobers me up. Are you interested about Mars?
