Now that you'll have seen it when you read this, it probably didn't blow your mind. However it wasn't a bad film. But I'd say it suffered a bit from "wait, how do we finish this?" which utterly destroyed 'Knowing'. ---- Getting some food down me.

Holy shit, they're actually doing it. SMBC predicted it *perfectly* I want to praise its genius, but at the same time, Fuck that shit all the way into a black hole, and then some. That is totalitarian dystopia at its finest. If the chinese government get their people hooked on chasing numbers for social acceptance and status, they've won. They hold all the cards, and people will be too busy trying to get high scores to question them. It all sounds ludicrous and almost unlikely, but at the same time I don't think we should for one second dismiss it. Positive Reinforcement (something good as a reward) is very powerful, much more so than Positive Punishment (something bad as a reward). This is psychological conditioning, and if it isn't stopped, the government can bend its citizens to its will with next to no protest. And how popular is competitive gaming in the Far East? And how popular is it in the Western World?

Having finished Ratchet & Clank 3, and thus the original trilogy, I'm now pondering why I still prefer the first game. It can't be nostalgia, as I used to think it was. I don't claim to be an expert on writing and such, but the original alwasy felt very coherent, whereas the sequels feel very contrived by comparison. I remember, 10 years ago, thinking the exact same thing, but not with those words. Critics disagree with me, and yes, while there was certainly a lot more to do in the sequels, I felt like there was a lot less 'charm' to it. I may be entirely misguided about this, but the world building in the first game vastly outshone that of the two sequels. In my opinion.

I wouldn't say 'stunned' exactly. More *that sound you sometimes make when rolling your eyes* As a non-reader of comic books, I can only assume that most of the films are adapting pre-existing storylines for live action. I guess it's a good way of introducing them to a generation that uses computer screens more than books. This oft-stereotyped 'nerd culture' has pretty much become mainstream. And because of that, output is very refined, polished, and generally easy to digest. All that said, I still want to watch all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. ---- What's so good about bacon?

Interesting seeing as the game runs fine on my computer and I'm using 8.1. That makes me realise just how old Windows 7 actually is. And how even older XP is.

Cooling down after ragequitting a R&C 3 skill point. Timed challenges add so much pressure to things.

R&C 3. Two skill points away from 100%. Both are Qwark vidcomic speedruns. Oh the rage. The videogame rage.

I updated my band's facebook picture for the festive season. -
Ratchet & Clank 3. I've nearly finished Challenge mode, save for a few Titanium bolts, skill points and trophies. Not looking forward to speedrunning the Qwark vidcomics.

It could be a pet name. "Aww, you're such a cute wee mince pie." ---- I spent £200 on a drum pedal for my then band. Then 3 months later I had to become the lead guitarist in said band.

So I just found the full show of RHCP at Fiji in 2006. I'm reminded heavily of my first ex, who was a massive, massive RHCP and John Frusciante fan. I used to remember that relationship and think "man, we were a bad bad match". But recently I looked through old photos of us, and you know, I remembered actually how much fun we had, and how it wasn't THAT much of a bad match. I think it's good when you can look back on something and reminisce on the good times. We haven't met for nearly 4 years, but I figure we could be friends, even though we're in entirely different circles now. So...feeling alright.

Listening to The World At One. They're currently talking about the issue of Britain's place in the EU. Beard-stroking material.
