  1. Just a thought, has anyone on AF been 'demoted' from Mod before?
  2. "Would you like to go to a land...down under?"
  3. Sand.
  4. Are you levitating me in that?? It's very cute! :3
  5. Fair nuff. I'm 72% though JC2, so I reckon everything will be nice and stable by the time I reach 100% next decade. Also just did a spot of emulated Timesplitters 2.
  6. Pahaha! Surface.
  7. Banned because alliteration.
  8. Goddamn Rarity, that's pure gold! Best laugh I've had all day! Nice to see some veterans come back. Adds to the community vibe of this place.
  9. Same here, it's lovely :3 You're perfectly welcome to keep using it Jeb Though, if you don't mind me saying a couple of things: I'll admit that I wouldn't have minded being more *human* in the picture, but on the other hand my avatar is an extension of my personality in that it displays something which I relate to on a personal level (The early work of Matt Groening). So for that reason, I'm happy to be associated with it when being depicted in your pictures. :3 If I had to make any suggestions, I guess you could make me human with a fez and Charlie Brown clothes (Akbar and Jeff are based on CB). Alternatively you could give me Binky's ears: Or my gig outfit (on the right). Basically, whatever you think best represents both *me*, and how you perceive me. You have full creative control
  10. ^ I'm probably ready for Just Cause 3 as I've done all the missions in Just Cause 2. I just need to 100% it by finding all the collectables, clearing every settlement, and doing all the race challenges. Personally I'd like to do that before starting JC3, but I doubt I'll ever reach 100%, without possibly a mod that tells me what is left of each thing in each settlement. The Panau City area is so dense that it's easy to go in circles, and not see anything left to do, even though I'm 90% clear on one of the settlements. That said, I think I'm gonna get some JC2 on the go now. Cheers Rarity!
  11. 2491 How long would it take to reach just 10,000 Jeb?
  12. "Hey, that's mean! My book is perfectly pretty! Look, you've hurt it's feelings! You monster!"

  16. Haha! That's amazing! I love how I'm literally my avatar! Though, just for future reference, Akbar and Jeff wear shorts, but no biggie, trousers can make me more distinct And holy shit, that music! You're so, SO right about electro swing! Also Alyxx, did your clothes fall off, or have I not been paying attention to your Avatar? I don't recall your baps being quite so...present. EDIT: just xmassed my avatar. Will resume the adventures of Akbar and Jeff after xmas.

  19. I used to swear by it when I was younger, but a turning point happened when I got Steam, and the Orange Box. I can still enjoy gamepad FPS, but M&K is a whole different league. Also, I feel bad for reply after reply. Soz.
  20. ^ I've been tempted to buy Vice City on Steam on many occasions for pretty much that. But I dunno, part of me feels I'd be admitting defeat - I got the game in 2003, I should probably fight on to the end for old time's sake!
  21. Controllers (in my experience) tend to be opposites of M&K, in the sense that they are good at doing what M&K aren't very good at doing. For example: movement. Analogue sticks potentially allow a much more natural flow of character movement - typically it's WSAD to jog in four directions, with Ctrl to walk and Shift to run. Analogue sticks let you move in any direction, with speed determined by how far from neutral you tilt the stick. Now camera movement/aim, that's a home run for the Mouse, because sticks have to return to neutral before data input stops. You therefore have to repeatedly 'nudge' the stick to get the same accuracy as a mouse. To top it all off, older controllers have 'play' in the sticks - the stick can move, but no input is registered. Going back to Vice City, my Dualshock 2 has a LOT of play, so much that I think I'm tilting it halfway to full before anything registers. So for the shooting challenge, I'm using the D-Pad, which is also pressure-sensitive. A proper press will send the crosshair flying, and a quick tap may not even be registered. More advanced technology means this is less of an issue now, but a mouse will always be more accurate.
  22. A minor F major7 Bb9 Bonus points for including usage of the Phygian scale.

Report a suspected communist in your street and pay no taxes this quarter! Earn 10000 Patriot Points and have dinner with your favourite celebrity!
  24. I'll tell ya something, the 'Rifle Range' mission in GTA Vice City is a prime example of the advantage a mouse has over a gamepad in terms of accuracy and sensitivity. You could easily get the required 45 points with point-and-click. But with a PS2 dualshock, I could be at it for hours. My controller is either so elderly that it's lost its sensitivity (I got in 2002), or I'm so used to more modern gaming with fast processing and therefore less latency. If there was ever a PS2-compatible mouse that could recognised as a dualshock, it would be perfect for that one mission. (as far as I know, there is a mouse and keyboard that works with PS2, but only for certain specialised games)
  25. I got my first PS2 on my 11th birthday in 2003. The first game I played on it was Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. To this day - 12 years later - I have never finished it. I wanted to do the final story mission after completing everything else in the game. [EDIT: Got details wrong] Last year I started a new game and followed a walkthrough. I'm now 81% complete. I don't know if I'll ever finish it.
