  1. A biting satire of capitalism based around the exploits of Apple Inc. Dog Day Afternoon.
  2. The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite - REM
  3. We've heard enough of Ross to know that he wouldn't attack Reitz for those reasons, and as HLPrincess says, "Who made the game is a minor thing". I reckon he's more concerned with what people do, rather than who people are. And even then, he's unlikely to single out a particular person to rant about. As far as I can tell, he's not interested in that.
  4. I originally saw CyhAnide's attempt at Chell's Mind, I think in 2011. Through some digging I found that it was based off 'Freeman's Mind'. At the time, I hadn't played the original Half-Life, so I didn't delve into it. Afterwards of course, I eventually found the series and started watching, originally on Machinima's YT channel. I can't remember how I found Ross's channel (then called 'chilledsanity'), but naturally I moved over to there, and I guess the rest is history, ya kna? Have you changed anything (diet, routine, etc) since the new year?
  5. ^ I need to see a visual representation of this!
  6. I realise now that I almost never read the comments on any of Ross's videos. While I agree Moon Gaming was a something of a non-starter, Tom was much better in this video than that one. It was also contextual that Tom appeared in this video, so I doubt he'll be a regular appearance - unless Ross is doing a load of two player games for the next few months.
  7. Hmm, this is where I realise I may not know very many buildings, so I'm gonna answer this but also make it availble for other people along with my question. But eh, What comes to mind for me is one of the London buildings. I'd say, The Shard. Looking at it, among the rest of London's city architecture, makes me think of the City 17 Citadel. Gotta have that dystopian future eh? What's the oldest building in your local area?
  8. I had a lecture on Black Metal in my final year of Uni, and there was segment talking about that particular Mayhem. All I can really say is: They don't make Black Metal like they used to. Good lord.
  9. Nice shades Ross. You look like an Agent from The Matrix that's become chilled out after the War ended. And I agree with the others - Tom was a great addition to the episode.
  10. Steven Wilson is currently touring his 4 1/2 mini-album (along with Hand. Cannot. Erase.), and in the second half of the concert he pays tribute to Bowie with a duet of Space Oddity. Sadly Ninet wasn't present at the concert I attended, but he's posted this on his Facebook page. It's spot-on: (At my concert, he instead played 'Lazarus', an old Porcupine Tree song which, oddly enough, is about a boy called David. "My David, don't you worry This cold world is not for you So rest your head upon me I have strength to carry you")
  11. ^That made me so sad. :'(
  12. If you're taking your date to see Deadpool on Valentine's Day and they think it's a romance movie, you are a winner.
  13. I wouldn't mind a Pointilist. So maybe one of the early developers of the technique? *googles* Geroges Seurat or Paul Signac. What is your opinion on corn?
  14. The Grey Nailclippers. It turns out evil is simply caused by people not cutting their toenails properly.
  15. If real life was like Inception, people would achieve a bizarre kind of not-immortality, where they could live an entire lifetime in one day, and do it again differently the next. Considering average lifespans, that would be thousands of lifetimes by the time you actually die.
  16. Sony announces its next-gen console will be VR-only.
  17. Chaos
  18. Granted, but it can only charge from car adapters. I wish I could write catchy songs.
  19. Showers. Just as refreshing, a third of the water. Sweet chilli dip that's too hot or old guacamole that's starting to look suspicious?
  20. Lovely On The Water - Jenny Lascelles A mate of mine from the Folk degree of my University course with some very pretty pop-folk. You can sometimes here her Geordie accent come through. Whey Aye.
  21. One example I guess is the Toreador March by Georges Bizet (from the opera 'Carmen'). On the internet, it is more widely known as Freddy Fazbear's jingle before he jumpscares you in Five Nights At Freddy's 1. You'll be hard-pressed to find any youtube video of any interpretation of the march that isn't ravaged by commenters complaining about FNAF fans. As for music in general, there is a lot of elitism found in the categorisation of bands in terms of genre. It's not metal, it's post-industrial melodic crab-tech-djent-core. I've also seen arguments about what is and isn't Prog Rock. Some people would have you believe that Prog didn't make it out of the 70s, despite a really strong community enjoying many many new bands and Prog artists today. And then you get 'Top 10 guitarists evar!' etc. Bonham's always the best drummer, Cliff Burton's always the best bassist, Hendrix is always the best guitarist, in lists that feature very diverse styles and approaches. It's to do with personal taste. Being considered 'best' is what award ceremonies are for.
  22. Always happy to talk!
