  1. I assume those QR-code-type pages are where Atlas gets most of its commands. The pause it makes before resuming the task gives it a terrifying humanity. "Why did you do that, fool?"
  2. The way I've always seen it, if you upload a video that contains someone else's content, you're taking a risk. You can add as many disclaimers in the video and the description as you want, but if you get flagged, you can either comply or forfeit your account. About half of all my uploads have copyright claims on them. The frequent consequence is that the claimant earns money from my video (though checking on them now I find one of them is blocked worldwide). I'm not fussed because all my videos are pretty poor quality, and I have no audience. Of course if I were to start using YouTube a lot more professionally (which I intend to do perhaps this year), I'll take those videos down, or at least make them private. If you're able to make a living on YouTube using copyrighted content, you're incredibly lucky.
  3. BTG just topped the memberlist post count. Whaaaaat.
  4. ^ That reminds me a lot of my old high school, when my sister was there. Back then, you would do 'Technology' in 1st and 2nd year. For 3rd and 4th year, you could choose to do 'Graphic Communication', 'Craft & Design', or 'Technological Studies'. My sister did Tech Studs, and she says it's the one exam she'd happily do again for the hell of it. It was likely nothing compared to your robotics department, but she worked with electronics and basic programming (getting a buzzer to play Jingle Bells at xmas time, she once told me). If I recall, her year was the final year Tech Studs was taught, essentially due to a lack of teachers (not helped by living on an island with rather high house prices). I think the subject was dropped over the whole of Scotland after that exam period. I was gutted I couldn't take it - it sounded really cool and interesting. Thinking about it now, that was around the time my school started going downhill. Man, I could probably make a vent on my whole time at that place. One thing's for sure, though: we need more engineers, scientists, inventors and innovators. And teachers to inspire a train kids with potential. I consider advances in science to be a priority for the world.

  6. Yes. Yes he is.
  7. Feckin' rhinovirus. As serious as getting prodded every 30 seconds, but just as annoying.
  8. Same applies to myself.
  9. I used to have the entire script - and articulation - for Clanwars: Clan Vs Noob memorized. 10 years later, it is largely forgotten, though I could probably piece most of it back together if I concentrated.
  10. After watching the entirety of Markiplier's playthough of Firewatch, winding down before sleep.
  11. A courtroom drama in a similar vein to 'A Time To Kill', where British lawyer Harry Potter travels to the Middle East to defend the life of a middle-aged woman tipped for execution at the notorious Azkaban Prison. On that note, A Time To Kill

  13. Species:Human-Worm hybrid Planet:Earth Classification:Catastrophic Genetic Experiment Personality:Extremely Violent A surprising fact about this species:The human subject showed no signs of extreme behaviour, so it is thought that the Hybrid's dangerous nature comes from the earthworm's genes. The hybrid was eventually defeated and consumed by a giant flock of birds - at the cost of two cities - and further study of worms continues. 14. "What, it never occurred to you that The Grim Reaper has a pet?" THIS SHALL NOT STAND.
  15. "Oh, look, I've beaten Binky's post count!" *Shakes fist* Not so fast!
  16. Looking forward to it!
  17. Tropical Robinson's.
  18. I do like these new games you're coming out with mate #44 Estonia, 1997: a recently-promoted Detective Inspector enters his new office in the local police force. While rearranging the room to his needs, he realises his desk is back-to-front. Opening the now-accessible draw, he discovers a case file, marked only as '#44'. This is a linear adventure drama game where the player investigates the disappearance of a young woman, a case that was not disclosed to the force. English subtitles only. Inspiration: Robotics
  19. Follow'd! I don't tweet much these days tbh but I do try to keep up with my followings.
  20. Tell me about it. I think the extent Ross will be affected by this depends on how many people refer to him when sending letters, emails etc. It might be an idea actually not to refer to him. He can get involved by himself, along with other big internet names if they choose to. The people who make the most impact would likely become seen as the leader(s), and that may not even include Ross.
  21. Moving swiftly on... True, but Ross is right - physical letters feel more serious. I'll see what I can do. Then again, how about regional branches, in different countries? Or should it be solely at the Head Office?
  22. Peasant's Revenge - Counting Coins
  23. Very well put! It's easy to interpret pretty much anything from pretty much everything. But aye, your gender/ethnicity/race/nationality has no bearing on whether or not you're an arsehole. The whole Kardashian franchise/family/whatever is pretty much the worst social role model there is at the moment. I guess you could say Caitlin is a figure for the trans community to relate to within this Kardashian bubble, and as such is a role model for trans women on the same level as Kim is for cis women and Kanye for cis men. That is: a really bad role model for general humanity. As for Third-wave and SJWs: the problem, I feel, is that the internet and social media has boiled down their cause to a series of buzzwords that are increasingly hollow, because for the most part, shock-tactics don't work. I don't know what is serious or parody anymore, and this not only smears their reputation, but also distracts from the genuine issues that need to be addressed. The whole feminist movement suffers, giving the impression of being unfocused and splintered - and at its worst, misandrist. And feminism is not misandrist, far from it. It wants equality, not supremacy.
  24. It's cool I was just eager to steer the discussion away from that. We had one last month in another thread, and it just left people with bitter tastes in their mouths. One of the most volatile subjects I've ever encountered! Heh, I'm imagining an eventual situation similar to the Hogwarts letter from The Philosopher's Stone.. Though thinking logistically, would that mean everyone sends one letter per day? That would cause both situations with a constant stream of letters. Which would be highly effective, but financially risky. Although, I don't know how much it costs to send a letter in America, but being a British citizen, I don't think I could afford more than a few letters. :/
  25. Can we please stop talking about this? We are only on the second page of this thread and already it's devolved into this pointless and unrelated debate. We established very early on that drawing parallels was a bad idea. I don't care what anyone thinks of the double G, it's already been discussed to death in this forum. If you want to help Ross, you will stop talking about this now. ---- Something about Darkspore: the idea of not having any form of repeat playthrough of the story interests me, like a step up from permadeath. Correct me if I've misunderstood this, but being able to only complete the game once seems like a kick in the teeth for paying customers, regardless of replaying individual levels. And considering it's due to be shut down in a couple of weeks, missing something on that only playthrough is even more fatal! You know what, getting a mildly high-profile Let's Player to do a playthrough would give the game - and Ross's cause - very valuable exposure. He/she could even talk about what's going to happen to the game, maybe refer to Accursed Farms...
