I hate to be that guy, but what mod is this? I'm a huge fan of Half-Life beta/alpha stuff.

There is really no need for "more HD graphics". Half-Life 2 still holds up for the most part, and Cinematic Mod just makes it look like a generic Anime-influenced Sci-Fi game with overdone colour-correction and visual clutter. Like Ross said in the Deus Ex episode of the Game Dungeon, it's a bit like George Lucas "revisiting" the old Star Wars movies. I'm sure most people would much rather see Freeman's reactions to Valve's Half-Life 2, instead of some unofficial fanmade stuff that doesn't capture the spirit of the original Half-Life.

Fakefactory's Cinematic mod ruins the great Half-Life 2 atmosphere by cluttering the entire map with shit, tinting the image, darkening everything and using really unfitting models (that, from what I've heard, are usually stolen). What is your problem with Half-Life 2's graphics? Is it really not shiny and HD enough for you? Man...

Heavy Metal (1981) - 9/10 An excellent movie by itself, but even better if you can watch it with a group. Get some friends with a good taste in music together, order a pizza, have a few drinks, and enjoy one of the best animated movies I know.

Okay, here are some of my predictions (which I seriously doubt will come true). I think Freeman is going to be surprised that Kleiner's teleporter looks so different from the teleporter orbs in Black Mesa, and a bit more like the anti-mass spectrometer. So when the teleporter fails on the first try and the plug falls out: "AAAAAH! IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN! WHERE'S THAT HELMET?!" Upon being asked to flip the switch: "Yeah, no real point in delaying the end of the world any longer. We're way overdue already anyway." Also, something tells me that at some point he will also do Lost Coast, like how he also did Half-Life Uplink. There's no real point in Half-Life 2 where you black out, so I'm just going to assume he does it after the Nova Prospekt teleport. I'm almost willing to bet money that nothing even close to all this is ever going to happen though.

I don't know, that's probably the logical explanation, but I like to think that Barney is just acting like "Oh yeah, I'm best mates with Gordon Freeman!" to impress people, while in reality the only interaction they've ever had was Barney opening airlocks for Gordon, who never really noticed him.

Thanks! I'll be checking that out. I only listen to them when playing something calm, like SimCity or when having to do something a bit more tedious like farming, but for that kind of stuff I think they're perfect.

I came, I saw, I laughed, but now I'm confused. It's April 1st, sure, but Ross said he'd continue the series, so it might not be a joke, plus I know he likes messing with people on April Fools Day in different ways. Remember when he said he had cancelled Freeman's Mind and moved to Poland? Half of that was true. So which half of this is true? Only the Half-Life half? or the half that has Freeman's half in it? Either way, I loved seeing this, and it proved once again that Ross is the master of the unexpected. Who could have seen that soda can throw coming! EDIT: i think its a map for garys mod

I can't say this for everyone, but I really enjoyed all the politics talk of the Deus Ex Game Dungeon. I would like to see more of that kind of stuff, is there any chance for a Ross Rants on corruption in politics, etc.? Or maybe even an entirely new show? "Politics Chat with Ross"?

I say the most important thing is that you continue being an individual. Don't do things you consider stupid because people expect to be able to easily put you in a group. Do what you want to do, and be proud of what you do and who you are. That's what being an individual is all about!
