  1. But that's the point, they're not being sold here! There is literally no other way of getting these games! It's awful...
  2. Some people HAVE to pirate games because they're not available in their country. This hits us pretty hard in Germany, so many good games are banned or versions are sold that are cut and censored beyond recognition. You hear me complain a lot about this, but it just is such a big problem to me. Dead Island, FEAR, Red Faction,... Those are games I'd never get to play if it weren't for piracy. And they are lost sales, because I would be ready to buy them. And the only way I can buy these games legally is by importing them from another country, like the UK, and shipping can cost a lot!

  4. I think it might be because a lot of the comments by people who discovered those songs through shows/video games are completely unrelated to the actual song, I have seen comments on some songs that are just the name of the game or show they appeared in (which is just completely stupid) or inside jokes that seem completely out of context. Now mix that with annoying memes and the hostile attitude of YouTube commenters in general, and some people feel like their music listening experience is ruined by annoying kindergarten kids. At least that's my explanation, and one of the reasons I don't usually use YouTube to listen to music.
  5. Congratulations, Binky! I'm happy for you, especially since I myself haven't had such a nice start into February. There are some dumpsters behind the apartment building I live in, and every time it is windy (which is most of the time now) the wind just keeps opening and slamming the lids of the dumpsters. It is really freakin' loud and annoying. Last night it woke me up at around 4 AM and kept me up all night. My bedroom has kind of a balcony thing, except it isn't open, it has windows. Windows you can not close. You can close the door, sure, but that doesn't keep the sound out, what's even worse is that then the wind has literally the exact same sound as crying children. So I can decide between listening to extremely loud slamming dumpster lids or slightly less loud dumpster lids and the crying souls of damned children. I swear this night I will tape these motherfuckers shut. I don't care if the caretaker yells at me, I need my sleep. On top of that I have an exam tomorrow that I'm mostly unprepared for, two more exams on Wednesday and a big one on Saturday, meaning I have two days to become an expert in the fields of Translation sciences, the history of Scotland and until Saturday to master the English language. But I'm optimistic: On Sunday I'm basically done with the semester and I can go home again. And I have some ideas for what I can do with all that free time until the next semester starts...
  6. I just found out Korea is in fact NOT an island. I haven't felt this stupid since I found out Croatia is not an island.
  7. Okay, so this morning I had an idea that I think is as stupid as it is brilliant: A single player Half-Life 2 Modification based on Ross Scott's life! Here's the story: You are Ross Scott and start out by escaping from the Machinima HQ, from the tiny cell they were undoubtetly holding him in. You then fight your way against the Machinima army and get to Poland, where Ross settles down on the old Accursed Farm. Everything seems perfect, but one day the farm getts attacked by Machinima and they steal Ross's magnum opus: THE MOVIE. You chase down the van containing THE MOVIE, but then you realise it was just a diversion and THE real MOVIE is already back at their HQ. Realising that he can't possibly beat the evil corporation all by himself, Ross asks some fans to help him before he fights his way back to the U.S.. When he arrives he finds an entire army of fans, ready to attack Machinima, with Ross as the leader! And then you fight through the HQ, get THE MOVIE back into your posession, kill the CEO and show the people what REAL machinima is. Also, health packs would be replaced by cans of beans.
  8. Jeez, get a room, you two! *gets beaten by rolled up newspaper with steel bar inside* I'm feeling rather good right now, despite the fact that the cat PISSED ON THE CARPET AGAIN.
  9. Still makes me glad I'm a man- I only have to do the fun part.
  10. I think the best superpower would be the ability to control time, being able to speed it up, slow it down or pause it at will (while still being able to move normally). It could make you invincible, when someone shoots you just slow down time and calmly dodge the bullet, or when you're about to crash your car just turn time back a bit and try again (like in the Codemasters racing games). That would be my superpower. As for good/evil/neutral, I think I would be all three, I would be neutral. I'd use it to my advantage (which is evil and unfair), but also warn people if there are terrorist attacks and stuff (which is good).
  11. Happy Birthday, Rarity!
  12. High damage, but low rate of fire. It's usually more accurate, and you don't need many hits when you have a lot of power. Water or Juice?
  13. 9/10 - Looks like me when I just got out of bed.
  14. L.A. Noire I forgot how much I like this game! I also love the male clothing style of the 50's. I wish I could walk around with a nice suit and hat today, but I'd just look like a pretentious hipster douchebag.
  15. His jaw dropped. His head suddenly felt very light, and he felt like he was going to faint. Brian kept staring at the door, expecting to realise that what he was seeing wasn't really there, that his eyes only needed to adjust, but the door stayed. When he heard the surprised gasp of the serviceman next to him he knew that what he saw was real. Impossible, but somehow real. The investigator slowly got up and made a few steps toward the mysterious door. He hesitantly stretched out his arm and carefully touched it, and to his further surprise the metal was slightly warm. Even at this point he still wasn't sure if he should believe what he was seeing. As he glanced down he saw something else that made his heart skip a beat: a small trail of what appeared to be dried blood, underneath the door. He snapped his head around to face the serviceman, who was looking rather pale, and told him to call the others.
  16. 9/10, makes me wish I came up with it.
  17. The one where the snowmobile gets chased by those flying things dropping grenades, like in that Bond movie. It requires PERFECT timing and a PERFECT driving line and at some points just plain luck. Also, Liberty City Stories was my first GTA as well! And here's another fun fact: I used to be vegetarian (for two weeks)
  18. Dogs are idiots either way. They all think they're so cool... You're welcome! That show is quite addicting, isn't it? Always cheers me up after a shitty day.
  19. Feeling not so good today, I spent almost all day trying to come up with a topic for a term paper and an interpretive hypothesis and now I realised I'm totally unprepared for an exam I have tomorrow. Feeling slightly insane, really nervous, I'm stuttering, whispering to myself, I find it hard to focus... I'm surprised I got on the right train! But I think it's getting better now. I'll have some croissants, browse the forum, look at Jeb's art... That will help me calm down.
  20. 8/10 - A bit small, but I love gas masks.
  21. Lawn
  22. Aisha Tyler Dating Sim What? I can still dream!
  23. All Mad Max films on DVD! And cursed. Yeah, I got cursed (Seriously, some creepy dude in a black hoodie cursed me for no reason. Public transport is weird, man)
