Balancing would definitely be difficult. But what if it were an RTS? Could you lead 500 Roman soldiers into a battle against 100 WWI-era German soldiers and win? I'm just a fan of having stuff from one place/time period in a completely different one. There already is "Pirates, Vikings & Knights", but I want something a bit more extreme than that.

That reminds me in an idea I've had for a Battlefield-style game, where you could choose two teams from any era to fight each other (a bit like Deadliest Warrior I guess). So you could for example have Vietcong vs. IRA, WWII U.S. Army vs. WWI British Army, etc.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert + Tomb Raider: Legend = Command & Raid: Red Legend An RTS where you lead a group of archaeologists in ancient tombs to find a powerful magical artifact (that has to do with time travel).

I've seen some good arguments against the word "overrated", so I try to avoid using it myself. But on a similar note, could people PLEASE stop calling little things "cancer" or "cancerous"? It is in a way trivialising a disease that is tearing apart families and slowly and painfully killing people (sadly, I can say that from experience).

I don't think the average person is stupid, just imperfect. You'll find something "stupid" in every person. Sadly, a lot of people who really are fully stupid are also really vocal about it, but just because stupid people scream the loudest, doesn't mean they are a majority.
