What's the largest motor you've burned? Mostly Class D20-5. Im working on a Class E motor rocket It's going to model the Titan II used for Gemini but with 4 clipped delta fins. Its really painstaking and use of my high schools wood/metal shop has helped alot.

Stating that a country "needs" a war is still a very ugly thing to say. There can sometimes be benefits to war. They are not entirely negative things although they are indeed very ugly.

Yeah, the only reasons I can really do it is because I live within biking distance of my part-time job and I'm still in high school. Not many bills to pay or gas tanks to fill up.

You will spend hours getting little green men in space suits up into space on a shoe-string budget. https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/ Create the spacecraft of your dreams and then get mods to make ones you could never even dream of. Then pay homage to the might space kraken and his glorious time warp.

Oh man I hope they are not bull shitting us. -
Nuclear SSTO? I take it this would be unmanned. As for my knowledge of rocketry is very little for even attempting to throw some advice in. I mostly fiddle with solid fueled rockets. But Nuclear SSTO's never heard of anyone designing let alone thinking of one. Maybe the 1960's Orion if they launched from the atmosphere but that's Orion.

Cmon people extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. All of you list sources and have a civil debate and please take each others evidence into account and not just biased personal views.

For a couple very big reasons... 1. It might not even work, so it's not good to bank on it. 2. Who knows when it'll be able to make it's first full test flight? The mining drones might be in place and mining before it gets it's first flight. 3. I can't find any info on who is going to be operating those things, so I can't tell if they could even be used to do this. Reusable methods in general are ideal. SSTO or chemical rockets anyway to save money is key. But you have to admit SSTO's are a pretty cool idea that could really benefit space travel.

Although not a soundtrack, that is what their music is for and its really epic.

Or maybe those little chalk heart candy things that no one ever eats, but still end up taped to St. Valentines day cards.

Yeah pure energy thrusters are a long ways off. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_vacuum_plasma_thruster Or we could use Ion but thats also still in development. So if we are going to nuclear route why not Orion but really standard liquid fuel rockets are the best we got so far and there is a good amount of ice water on the moon buried beneath regolith. So creating our own fuel on the moon is a option. Although startup costs would be insane.

So, me and a friend are making a country..

Cool idea on paper. But unfortunately thats as far as this might go. but would love to see it work otherwise. and for investors why not any private space company wishing to throw up some polar orbit satellites. Who knows spaceX might love it. There is even a Former air force base good for some renovations and maybe even a VAB, doubt it though.
