  1. alternatively you could just go with this: http://store.steampowered.com/app/290930/HalfLife_2_Update/ hell, Ross has done commentary in this so I'm sure he's considered it. fixes a bunch of stuff and improves the graphics in the best way possible. can't go wrong with it, plus it fixes the weapon oversights - and it doesn't stray from the original art style like that abomination 'cinematic mod'
  2. beautiful
  3. -snip, sorta off topic-
  4. I never expected to see Freeman's Mind end in my life time. It's been a looooong time. Way to go, Ross. Sad to see it go, but I look forward to the future with whatever you have planned.
  5. It's not a tree... It's a tentacle!!! the entity/spawn code for it is "xen_tree", so I referred to it as such
  6. I actually liked the new weapon sounds, for the most part. Every weapon sounded great with the new sounds, especially the RPG. The only weapon sounds I didn't like were the ones for the pistol. Felt a little out of place. Only sounds that annoyed me slightly were when Freeman would lift his hand from the MP5 and grab it repeatedly around 3:30 into the episode. The tapping noises were repetitive and kind of annoying. Other than that, General Cornwaffle is doing a really good job with the sound editing, it worked really well with this episode. One small effect he edited in that I really liked was at about 30 seconds into the episode, when Freeman gets hit by the xen tree. I'd imagine that'd be pretty accurate to how it'd sound and feel when getting hit in the head by something like that.
  7. Sweet, dude. I'm sure you'll finish Freeman's Mind before the end of the year. I almost feel bad for those who are actually betting against you.
  8. sweet, dude good stuff as always.
  9. I've never really been into horror movies, but I absolutely love horror games for sure. Stuff like Silent Hill (as you'd expect). If you're looking for a good Half-Life mod with some pretty good horror, check out Afraid of Monsters: Director's Cut. That may get some jumps out of you, who knows.
  10. The day has finally come! Really good stuff as usual.
