ROSS'S GAME DUNGEON: PUZZLE AGENT
RoninTactician replied to Ross Scott's topic in Ross's Game Dungeon
It's not just Mac. It seems after the initial release for PC a lot of users were having the same, "puzzle 2" problem and it took Telltale over 6months to fix the bug. If anyone is curious here is a thread on telltale's site: https://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/17891/puzzle-agent-graphical-bug-on-puzzle-2-with-snowmobile/p1. Current Mac OS is 10.11.2...so 10.8.3 was a while ago. Since I got the game via Steam sale, no refund, but I submitted a request to telltales to see if they have any suggestions for getting the game to run. I'd be OK to run an emulation -- but I'd rather not have to purchase a copy of windows to play a 2$ game. -
ROSS'S GAME DUNGEON: PUZZLE AGENT

Puzzle Agent 1 & 2 on Mac are a buggy disaster. Am I the only mac-tard on this site? I love some good puzzles and thought it would be a fun game to get after watching GD. Puzzle Agent 1 has known bugs on puzzle #2 that prevent you playing the game -- and the developers don't seem to have an answer. There seem to be at least a couple people who have figured ways around this bug, but I wasn't able to reproduce their results. Puzzle Agent 2 is totally DOA and won't boot if you have the recent Mac OS. I don't know why they would be allowed to sell buggy software -- but I'm new to the "indy" software scene, maybe this is normal? ::grumpy:: -
Thanks @Mr Nutt you helped me as well. In case there is anyone else trying to get this to run on a mac here is how. Step 1: download GZDoom : http://alexey-lysiuk.github.io/gzdoom/ Step 2: run the dmg file and drag GZDoom into the applications folder. Step 3: download Strife : http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/418/Strife.html Step 4: unzip the file and then open it. Step 5: go to applications, locate the GZDoom file, right click, click "show package contents" Step 6: from the strife folder (the one you unzipped) copy the "STRIFE1.WAD" and "VOICES.WAD" into the "MacOS" folder (GZDoom > Contents > MacOS) Step 7: start the game and select "Strife1.wad" from the popup menu.

Strife on the mac...any ideas? First let me tell you that I was a PC gamer for years and don't game at all any more-- thus the switch to mac for work (graphics designer). I used to keep a tower around for just this occasion but that stopped a few years ago. I found the GZdoom mac install which was simple enough but does anyone have any idea how to run Strife on it?
