Obviously I'm able to convey my ideas in text form. Have you taken any classes on writing argumentative essays or... writing in general? It's amazing how much having some further education after High School helps with this sort of thing. Speaking of poorly conveying ideas, it seems like you're directly insulting me and anyone who is able to properly convey an idea in text form. How is an ability to communicate through text delusional? Clearly you must have meant something else. I know you know that insulting people is against the rules unless it's an obvious joke, and I'm not seeing the joke. Unless the joke is yourself, which would be insulting yourself, which is... well it's fine. Self-deprecating humor and whatnot, I suppose. You do call yourself insane. Man, I never posted my own thoughts On-Topic yet. Too much sidetracking. OT: I couldn't possibly wrap my head around all that math. I wasn't aware there were even different versions or models of the Big Bang theory. All I understand that we only know the immediate moments after the start of the universe, we've yet to discern what actually caused it to start. For all we know it still could have been some divine being snapping its fingers. Or blinking. Or sneezed out of the nose of a being called the Great Green Arkleseizure.

That statement is pure biased propaganda, as well as major flame bait. I refuse to derail the thread, but you are obviously trying to for whatever reason. I will not make a response if you post again, as that's feeding the troll. This. I live in Minnesota. CLIMATE CHANGE totally exists. Minnesota happens to be one of the places where it's actually getting cooler. The past couple years have seen longer winters, and in particular more snow, and blizzards. People who don't "believe in" or worry about global warming are stupid idiots who need to take just about any college-level geography course to learn some basics on how the planet works. On top of that it would really be fucking nice to start using sources of energy that don't involve relying on dwindling resources. Money towards that would be a good investment but people continue to think that everything's fine when it's not. Seriously, there's money to be MADE if we could come up with the next big renewable energy source, but nobody in the U.S. gives a shit about innovation anymore. We're all just mindless consumers of stupidity, which brings us all the way back around to big money controlling the news.

She's only insulting the worst pony, she's insulting you, personally. "I'm like an american - entitled as shit!"

Does God exist? (your opinion anyways.)

I don't read the bible with any regularity so I guess I wouldn't really know. My point remains that it's going to be interpreted different no matter what, and that your idea of "fixing" the translation just seems like trying to force your own interpretation. I didn't see anything wrong with the joke. Seemed to apply and it could have been about the subject of the thread rather than our recent posts. "Does God exist?" "Seems like insane troll logic to me." That is a reasonable point. The thing is that you can't disprove God's existence either. Anyone trying to prove god's existence or lack thereof is likely working under insane troll logic. Personally I just don't believe in Divine Intervention, which is what people always argue for or against "his" existence. -
Something that would be interesting is Alyx Vance's mind from episode... either one, two, or both. I think primarily one. Seeing things from Gordon's perspective but hearing things from hers, that'd be unique.

People are ignorant, particularly older people who haven't had any education in years. Also our leaders whose education is in law and not more practical information.

Oh so that rule hadn't been in there before. Wow. Still, I wouldn't expect Ross to use the excuse of "being in-character" to flat-out insult someone playing a game.
-
"What do you mean you didn't think I'd fit into this HEV suit?"
-
4656-6676-7639 is mine ^^

Wait, I thought Ross mentioned the Assassin's Creed game that was going to be set in the time of the French Revolution during that episode...
-
Huh, how is a constant stream of Freeman's Mind ever a bad thing?
-
Yeah I don't think a stream countdown thing would work too well unless Ross hosted it, playing all the videos on whatever video player he uses and just uses livestream or whatever. So he could wait to upload the video to Youtube or wherever until after the stream is done.
-
Nah, he belittles, but in a perfectly humorous way. Nothing's going to be flat-out insulting or derogatory. Yeah there was the whole "rat-fuck meatbag who doesn't understand what the term 'civilian' means," but still, plenty of humor to outweigh the insulting. I'd expect a respawn comment to be something like "hey, try not to die this time. Might help." I wouldn't expect something like "try not to suck so much this time." It would vaguely fit Freeman's character, but I'm sure that rule was there the entire time for Ross to follow.
-
It maybe something to look at. Im not sure. Yeah on top of all the other things you have to do you might as well rename the announcer pack to avoid the reference to Gordon. Though there are announcer packs for Valve IP such as the Dr. Kleiner pack, but that's official and wasn't a workshop submission. Maybe you have to get some sort of express permission to use the "Feeman's Mind" name.
-
Well it's both good and bad news. Now I hopefully know what the problem is and can fix it, it's just frustrating. And no, there's a LOT of revising to do. It's more complicated than the previous post implies. There's a dead minimum of modifying or redoing about a third of the lines, could be more like half. Any lines that get permanently cut due to their new rules I'll try and release as extras later. Well... shit. Don't know what else to say about it other than good luck, I guess. Suppose I should stop harassing this guy working on my support ticket...

Humor is for everyone. I wouldn't imagine Bo Burnham specifically targets just males. At least, not completely straight ones. This is true. As a fun (and very random) fact, I used to be friends with Bo Burnham's cousin. Are you one of those people involved in the whole thing?
-
I like you already. I was slightly worried people would think I'm weird on here for playing such a cutesie game. Clearly I was wrong. Yay for being wrong I've been somewhat getting back into it lately, myself... We should share friend codes and visit each other's towns. ^^
-
Ah. That really does suck. Hopefully there's not too much revising you have to do, but yeah, that's very wasteful.
-
Change the meaning of what you say? Doom is making a very valid point about the implications of your statements. If you can't put your "true meaning" into the right words to put other people's arguments to rest, then your own argument is flawed.

I still don't understand how "interpreting the ideas" rather than "interpreting the translations of the ideas" means anything whatsoever. -
But Ross can't OK it because of Valve owning so much of the content, or something like that.

You seem to be arguing the same thing right back at me. So you're saying that the bible should be "retranslated" so that it matches your interpretation? -
Oh, hey. Ross, some quick questions. I'm looking at the guidebook for DOTA 2 announcers. I'm sure you went through this several times but it might be good to double check. [*] Do any of your files in your Announcer Pack submission have any capital letters in them? Because "All line filenames must be in lowercase." [*] ... well, if they actually had time to go through all your lines and make sure everything in column 'B' is correct you'd have to imagine they'd have time to tell you such... [*] You said you have 603 lines, perhaps if you remove 3 that would get you further, even though it was supposed to be a soft cap. I actually don't see the term "soft cap," myself... [*] Make sure no lines are longer than 5 seconds, I guess... [*] Double check that you have all the basic required info as well. So yeah, if everything looks good, I'd say just remove a couple lines until you only have 600. I'm sure that in itself will suck deeply, but I'm seeing NO mention of that being a soft cap. Maybe the rule changed since you'd first seen them and they made 600 a set limit, instead. As for where I am with my support ticket... This Derrick guy could probably be using his time better. I wonder how long it took for him to write that one long poorly constructed sentence. Actually probably not much time at all, lacking in so many ways that it does. I guess he just doesn't care enough to make proper sentences.

Well when you're ignoring the most logical and well thought-out arguments I think we are in fact done here. Now you're just going to respond to this and continue to ignore Doom Shepherd because I'm not quite as consistent in my own reasoning. At least I can admit when I am wrong.
