  1. I apologize for misreading/misinterpreting/misrepresenting your exact quote. That does, in no way, invalidate the rest of my post. The fact that you're insulting my "reading ability" as your primary response shows that you are not worth any more of my time. Personally, I'm satisfied for the knowledge I've attained as a result of this debate. As you continue to insist on your denial of the science of geology, I'm done discussing it with you.

Ah, sorry. I don't have the names of every city in the U.S. memorized, so I didn't consider your name having your city in it. Washington, though, huh. Right in the city, too. Man, I dunno what to say.
  3. I'm making the assumption that people wanted more "DOOM guy's mind" when it first came out as well. Personally I'd like to see a return of Cap'n Freeman, but that's probably not going to happen either. Likely it's about as rough on his throat as DOOM guy.
  4. One thousand, nine hundred, thirty four.
  5. That site somehow doesn't allow images to be shared elsewhere. EDIT: Awww this site doesn't allow nested spoilers.

Wow, where do you live that people are so stupid?
  7. Don't worry. Years from now we'll be saying how much we need "Freeman Across the Universe" to actually start.

That is a plus. Still, next time you see your doctor I'd recommend asking about something like that. A note to carry around because of assholes who make harmful assumptions.

Man, that sucks. There's nothing that can be done to repair the brain tissue? And I wouldn't imagine there's any sort of treatment for that. Fuck's sake it's a bullet wound, not a heavily studied disease or something like that. Damn the limits of medical science. As for getting searched or whatever, couldn't you get a doctor's note or something you can carry around and show people if there's any sort of issue regarding it? It would be good, too, for if there's any major issue and people need to try to help you in regards to it.
  10. Banned for using a crowbar in Fallout
  11. 6/10 I dunno why but I never cared for the Pip boy character or whatever you call that guy. Fallout was great but I don't find the character really fit in, even with the whole 1950's background and whatever.

  14. Statistical data is never an exact. You contradicted yourself when you said it's either perfectly accurate or the complete opposite of reality. It is neither of these things. Statistical data is all about examining the data and using inductive reasoning to make sense of it. It is an imprecise view of reality that becomes clearer as more data is collected. Statistics, when done properly, will constantly approach a limit of accuracy as long as proper data is fed into the collection of information. Geologists take all data of every single dating method, and put it all together in, for example, the Archaeological Record. The "problems" that make particular instances of the methods of geologic dating "inaccurate," are known and factored into account when any sample goes in for study. Statistically, as geologists and archaeologists acquire and test more samples, using the correct methods for those samples, the more and more accurate dating methods become over time. Your claims that dating methods are "inaccurate" is simply false. It's not a matter of "belief," or "current position." It's a scientific process with an ever-growing history (both in its own right and in the history that it reveals). I've shown, repeatedly (despite your claims that they're simply "biased interpretations" (when in reality it's your interpretations that are biased)), that the methods of dating are a scientific process with an ever-increasing understanding of the history of our planet. Further denial of these facts require no further response.
  15. It highly depends on how Ross qualifies Freeman jumping into the Xen portal. It may be impossible given the personality of the Freeman for him to just run straight into the portal the way he does shown in Opposing Force.

Ugh that reminds me how the place I work is pushing so hard for us to get "stuff" done, that if I were to accomplish everything they wanted me to in a day, I'd have to avoid, ignore, and/or give shitty information to customers that need help. I'm not down for that at all. There have been occasions where I've helped deaf people and that's always a really nice experience, because while writing down our communication can take some extra time, it's a different experience from helping out other customers. Variety is a good thing, but people just don't seem to realize what kind of issues people might legitimately suffer from.
  17. It's aliens AND teleportation, AND a conspiracy against him, AND drugs, AND in-house genocide, AND ghosts AND COSMIC DISCO BALLS! He'll probably think he died and is in hell.
  18. And while it has been bumped, why not take advantage of that and make as many responses as possible? Not like it's spam or anything.
  19. I don't think Morgan Freeman would make as good of a DOTA 2 announcer. Though that would still be fun as hell. Damn if I had the equipment and time, I'd work on my Morgan impression and try to do that. x3
  20. I don't care enough to look up information of a random name.
  21. They're not innately inaccurate, that's a false claim based on cherry-picked "data." Dating methods by nature are a matter of statistical data over perceived absolutes. The question as to what you accomplish by "disproving" the science remains unanswered.
  22. Truly the entire situation is subjective as well as situational. If someone I know was contemplating suicide, I'd do everything in my power to stop it, but with the understanding that if they were to succeed, I can be content with the idea that they are better off as a result. As a whole, suicide is just one of those ways a person can die. Plain and simple. It's one of the more tragic ways to go, but again, one can only hope that they truly are better off for it.
  23. First source: I'd need to read it to figure out why you're linking it, but the fact that it's from 1960 immediately begs the question of exactly how outdated it is by now. Second source: One incident of a contaminated site proves what, exactly? And the Piltdown Man hoax was simply that: a hoax. I don't think any dating methods were even much involved with that. Third source: This, I'm not sure if it's poorly translated or perhaps with english not being the first language of the author there might have been some grammatical difficulties. As far as I can make out, Russians are somewhat behind on their studies in geography and are simply asking for other countries to share data and clarify methods with them. (I like how I ended up imagining a Russian accent while reading that.) Fourth: Again, I don't know what information I'm supposed to get out of this. What dating method is being argued and what's your point of arguing against it? Fifth Source: Similar to your first source, only much more outdated with a 1922 publication date. Oh wait, you're arguing that using pure stratigraphic dating is inconsistent? I'm still uncertain of the specifics but the fact of the matter is that both dating methods are used in conjunction with each other in order for each method to increase the accuracy of the other. Arguing specific cases is, once again, cherry picking.

It's unfair that the rich can sit around and do nothing in luxury, then people who have become disabled in some way are scoffed at for their legitimate inability to contribute to society in the form of working for shit pay for some corporation with those rich owners.
  25. I'll say it again: lol
