I actually own about a dozen souls from years back, I set up a booth with a friend where we bought people's souls in exchange for candy. I still have the contracts somewhere. 'I own a dozen souls.' - Ross Scott Besides developing my channel, which is slowly growing, I'm working on multiple projects that stand a chance of earning more income over time, just not much at the moment. This influx of income buys me a lot of time to stabilize everything. Additionally, I'm doing research into stocks (don't panic, I'm approaching this VERY slowly and I'm not a gambling person) that will likely pan out over time.Oh, stocks. Interesting stuff. I don't think I'll be telling you anything new here, but if you are looking for mid-term stable income, you might consider a government bond like the ones in the image below: The one with potentially the most yearly income is highlighted with two dots, though you'd pay e.g. €15,000 to get €10,000 in bonds, amounting to €625 (minus tax) per year, which isn't a lot. It'd take about 10 years to be profitable, which would leave only 5 years of profit. I've also highlighted some other potentially interesting ones. The list is sorted by yield. Commas are points. Concerning stocks, you probably wouldn't get a lot of money either if you want to stick to dividend of low-risk stocks. If you want to do some trading, I can only wish you luck. I've heard that it's always a good idea to have money in different things, like stock, stuff with invariable interest rates and others, though I imagine that to be difficult if you don't have a lot of money... Guys, this is nothing, NOTHING compared to Civil Protection. If Civil Protection is even worse, what could it be? Basically blocking your PC during a whole day or something like that? Or are you alluding to whatever it takes to actually make the episode, i. e. making characters move and such? I don't even have an idea how you do machinima with gmod, but I think I read you didn't even use that, but somehow did it in the Source engine directly. If it's that what you're talking about, I guess it indeed is a whole lot of work.

Well Ross, congratulations on reaching your goal. Looks like you'd need to start working soon, you have a promise to keep (Also, what's actually up with those dogs?). On another note, you wrote that you might be able to not need money anymore. If you do achieve that, would you mind to explain the process? It would surely be an interesting read. And perhaps you could even help someone else with it. Either way, good luck with everything! A new era begins today! (Well, at least it seems like that. Correct me if i'm wrong)

*ba-dum-tsh* I've been expecting this joke. ... Not quite. Very close though.

Well, this is going extremely well for Mr. Scott. I already was surprised when I saw the gauge at $900 yesterday, but now it's at $8427 . Seriously, it's only been a day. A single day. I know that fundraisers tend to be quick at the beginning if the person is well-known, but this is incredibly fast. OK, so apparently Notch posted this on Twitter (probably a pretty great honor), but it's still very fast. And the video is only at 18,000 views (well, at least following official YouTube numbers, which may or may not be completely wrong), which averages to $.45 per official YouTube view. Well, I certainly wish you two all the best after this! And consider eating something else than beans for a change. At least once or twice. Also, you need to pay off a mob boss? Is there some kind of YouTube mafia, or what? Concerning the DotA 2 stuff: You should probably send the same e-mail every day to the same address(es), that might work at some point. And if they keep ignoring you, you could just send Gabe Newell a mail . After all, something doesn't seem to work in his company. And he's the highest instance. And I think I heard he's one of those guys who read every e-mail (just like you). P.S.: While I wrote this post, that gauge actually rose to $8800.

I think I have heard of people getting a reply by replying to a noreply address, but it's probably not worth the try. I guess you could contact Steam Support at http://support.steampowered.com. It seems that you must create an extra support account, though. You could also post in the Steam Community forum, but I don't know whether the people there would be able to access your account information. I don't know whether there are official representatives at all. I don't know for resubmitting. Sounds like doing it all over again and starting with 0 ratings again to me. I have no idea if Valve would notice a title change or if you have to do it anew.

Well, that's unfortunate. I've done some quick research, so these are my suggestions: First, I would immediately answer the email asking what specifically is incompatible about the announcer pack. I have no idea whether you would get an answer, but at least you can try. And they know best what they didn't like, so they may be cooperative. Especially if you show interest in improvement. Second, after reading through the site which they linked to (here) and the requirements for Announcer Packs (here) which are on the same site, I would suspect the reason to be either copyright infringement or something technical in the way the announcer works. Third, after doing a Google search on the topic, I found this site which lists submissions flagged as incompatible. By the looks of it, the problem really is the title and its copyright infringement, as Valve seems to have blocked other announcers using their character names. That may seem strange, as they own the copyright on their games, but well, that's how it is. But given that they do release announcers based on their characters themselves, it is understandable. In the light of this, it is probably the best idea to change the name of the pack. 'Ross Scott Announcer Pack' is a viable idea, but perhaps you could try to just replace every mention of 'Freeman' in the pack name and trailer by something like 'That guy', 'The right man (in the wrong place)' or even simply 'Gordon'. Referencing the name without saying it might be a compromise between you and Valve. Perhaps you could directly ask in the email whether it would be possible for them to change the name of the announcer pack, if you aren't allowed to. You might also want to contact them as soon as possible, as we don't know how long they wait before flagging the pack as incompatible in the workshop. Well, that's about everything I can think of right now. I hope this can be resolved.
