Mate, digital homocide is too funny to forget

True, you definetly wont be having problems finding match now, but game is just 3 days old. Give it a month.
-
sure, because half the people buy & play on windows store? Not really. Considering Windows store quality, i wouldnt be too suprised to see less than 1000 players there. Steam definetly has large majority (at least 85 percent) of players windows store has. And issue is there. Now, before i go on- i loved call of duty, in fact rather recently even. I loved black ops 2, found ghosts (bought with very steep discount) to be.. ok as well. But it seems that many people are like me & they hate direction CoD has taken. Its even more evident when looking at steamcharts data. Keep in mind, that games are usually at their peak playercount in few days after release. And in IW, its already dropping (today's max- 10 000- already 1/3rd gone). Now, bit of comparison with previous call of duty release playercount peaks (from steamcharts): Black ops 3- peak 63 381 (day 1, SP & MP combined) Advanced Warfare- 35 017 (MP)+ 12 649 (SP) (both day 1) Ghosts- 36 922 (MP)+ 12 575 (SP) (day 1) Black ops 2- 18 202 (SP)+ 9628 (zombies)+ 70 819 (MP) (day 1 for SP & zombies, month later for MP, but even at day 1 it had 63k players) Modern Warfare 3- 55 900 (MP)+ 6504 (SP) (NB! game was released about 8 months BEFORE steamcharts data was available, meaning it was well past its prime) Black ops- 7352 (MP)+3245 (SP). And consider that this steamcharts data starts 2 years AFTER game was released (july 2012), which is case for CoD-s before that date. Modern Warfare 2 (since july 2012, 3 years after release)- 11 422 (MP)+ 2231 (SP) I think stats are pretty clear here. Not only its the worst launch of cod by far, it almost gets overtaken by games that were years old at time steamcharts became monitoring their playercounts. Furthermore, it seems people really, really dislike futuristic direction. While Black ops 3 has decent playercount (3,4k), advanced warfare only has ~200 people (and no, i didnt forget a 0. Thats two hundred for 2 year old game) on SP & MP combined. Now, lets take MW3 multiplayer- 900 people online at moment (and game is 5 years old). Even Ghosts multiplayer has currently 240 people (MORE than AW MP & SP combined & its year older than AW). Modern Warfare 1 (9 years old game if im not wrong- and no, not remaster) has 325 people online. World at war (last ww2 game in cod series so far, i think 8 years old) has 1500 people online. MW2 mp- 1201 people. It shows even most loyal fans are starting to simply get enough of this Considering how MP-focused call of duty really is, that is really evident that CoD is simply stagnating or even getting worse. So no, issue isnt blown out of proportion, because quite effectively we are seeing death strokes of legendary gaming franchise. Right now activision has real chance to revive the series, but they'd have to change their whole approach and i doubt they are ready for it. This right now should be obvious warning, but if they keep it up, thats the end.

According to steamcharts, Infinite Warfare, latest call of duty game, has about 15k player peak & playercount is already falling rapidly. Meanwhile MW remastered has about 6000 players peak. Yes, im talking about steam-only here (because lets face it: who buys it in windows store?). I havent been able to find good numbers regarding to consoles, but the player drop is felt there as well from what i hear. And since games usually get their best playercounts within days of release, its quite safe to say it has failed. I mean last call of duty game with less peak count according to steamcharts (which counts data from july 2012) is Black Ops 1 (and not losing by much btw). And it was 2 years old game before steamcharts started looking into data, meaning well past its prime. So it raises the question: is this the end of Call of duty? I think probably not, but its very tough mountain to climb again, since they need to restore trust in game series. But what do you think? is this the end of Call of Duty? will they change anything in their business model? Will they try to pull Battlefield & return to the past? What can they even do at this point to save the franchise?

Recently started watching Stargate: SG-1 again. And remembered why i love the show so much. While somewhat naive & idealistic (though not too much), it is good sci-fi thats grounded in reality. Well, at least first seasons. All that while giving possible hints where technology could lead us. "Learning Curve" episode (watched it today, Season 3, ep 5) for example is one scenario that is extremely interesting. This show is also great on moral dilemmas (though they usually get perfect solution)

I see you havent done any editing. I dare you to do even 5 minute video with decent ammount of cuts from ground up (meaning filming, sorting trough footage, organising it and on top of that, making up text & recording it without flubs- and thats just bare minimum). Depending on skill level and complexity of the video, it can easily eat away your hours. And note im talking about literally living behind computer to get it done, that is excluding even sleeping time. Point is: video making is extremely time consuming. So dont be rude, especially if people give you no cause to be rude. And on top of that give you free entertainment.

i have 3rd month running problems with exact same big toe. It has bone infection (dont know if its right translation, but its direct translation anyways). And yeah, that can be bad. Whats worse is that i've gone trough 2 antibiotics treatments (both week long) & they havent helped noticeably. Luckily i seem to be still on good side of spectrum, but its still possible i might lose the toe and that in turn, added to my other stress factors is, well, not good feeling. Still, i suppose if there is silver lining to it, is that im on good side of spectrum and its still just a toe. Plus it doesnt hurt.

is that game any good? and how much of it is gen 1 & 2 (i.e digidestined era) digimons? I loved that show when i was kid & i wanted to see good game based on the show

If only my real life would go as well as my online life, that would be great. Just got very high position in one very popular site (excluding social media sites (youtube & FB), probably 2nd-biggest website i regularly visit) & am admin in many places. Funny thing is im not even trying and im not spending hours on those sites, maybe 5 minute in 1 site max. Also, im about to become IT tech for over-european youth organisation (fun thing is, they cant pay, but hey, at least i can keep my skills fresh while i look for job, plus it'll look good in CV, plus new contacts, which is nice). Meanwhile i spend hours every day trying to find a job, so far most success i have is being called to job interviews. I guess its something, but its friking annoying. So yeah, im happy but annoyed at same time. Im good at managing web enviroments and im happy doing it, but all that doesnt mean squat if i cant find a job that actually pays.

What is my pet peeve is when game literally forces you to do a move that is pain in the backside to do properly. And not just once, oh no, several times. And quite often that specific move feels so out of touch with rest of the game, but i guess it depends on playstyle

Health is most precious thing humans have. So do what you got to to preserve it

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. That was bullshit too, like how does Nuka Cola and beer weigh nothing? and lets not also forget 1 000 000 rounds of ammo. and 100 rockets. 100 missles. few mini nukes.
-
fully agreed on that. Or at least set weight limit to high as heck. In RPG-s thats also my only thing im going to hack (well, ok, sometimes godmode for extra annoying enemies, but when i use it that enemy has probably killed me 20 times anyways). At least in skyrim its nice no-brainer: player.setav carryweight 100000000

I actually have a playthrough of this on hold. I mismanaged supplies and I'm stuck in a bad spot. OT: Witcher 3. I want to get more into the DLC but I think it had a bad install because the auction house section of Hearts of Stone keeps breaking. may i ask breaking how? As in what is your exact situation?
-
finished mafia 3. Fun game, but most critisism is justified. Also, Battlefield 1. Now thats game that i think rather underpromised. Its so friking good. Only real gripe is that Russia & France are as DLC & there arent faction-specific weapons (could've at least made it entente & central powers specific...) Still, seeing BF1 war stories makes me rather confident to wait for new war stories with french & russian DLC-s, plus its highly likely (and heck, even hinted) that russian civil war & independence wars (fingers crossed for estonian one being included) will be dlc as well with their own war stories. I hope that opens up wave of shooters moving back to historic era

Only exception: Deviantart (Meelis3 there)

Meelis13 yeah, i use same name everywhere i can (so far only deviantart has eluded me). feel free to add me there and hey, if any of you want to play some battlefield 1, then especially (i do own modern era battlefields too. dont like them too much).

I feel you. Old call of dutys (you know, before game turned into modern s-fest) were great with 1 exception: if you played the game hardest, it turned into near-impossible game. Not because AI was good (although it did make pretty much entire AI army shoot at you), but because of friking grenade spam. You were sitting still in cover for 2 seconds? heres a grenade. And of course since entire enemy army aims at you, you get killed when you move to find another cover. That said, i dont mind AI actually cheating a bit (because it often needs it), but not to unfair levels

when you go to triple-a games, then yes, games often arent as hard as they used to be. But thats not a bad thing in my opinion. Still, as people already pointed out, RTS & strategy in general is one genre that can be really hard. For example, i dare you to play empire: total war campaign (or any total war, really) even on vanilla on very hard/very hard. Even TW veterans (talking about people who play TW games since Rome came out or even before that) have hard time with that Now, add darthmod to the mix & you are pretty messed up
