and Assassin's creed brotherhood- despite not my favourite in series, its still great

i couldnt resist and i bought Max Payne 3 from steam sale 2 reasons why (point 1 may contain spoilers for over 10 year old games): 1- i always liked Max Payne series. i mean, cop gone undercover to hunt down killers of his family, then framed for murder of coworker, Nordic mythology references, dark humor and storyline- i think this was first game i played with such storyline- i.e no glorious moments, just dark pit, then even deeper dark pit, crawl out of that and you end up on even deeper pit. and even endings werent like where you could actually consider Max to be a winner. oh and bullettime. i heard they decided to go with Mona being dead ending on Max Payne 3 though... shame... but, i guess it was quite realistic storyline for its time. oh, speaking of Max Payne 2, i really liked its buildup, especially how they decided to continue on story- from seemingly small shootout it suddenly became large scale crime operation and Max... Max discovers that never trust a russian mob leader... 2- i heard that Max Payne 3 has lot better replay value. i sure hope thats true, because in Max Payne 1 and 2, only place that annoyed me to hell was replay value- close to 0. after 2 times, you already knew exactly where, when and how many enemies are coming, what weapons they were carrying, where to get ammo, basically everything. only way to alter the game even a bit was to run over trigger point and then escape like hell angels would be after you. i mean seriously- even puzzle games have better replay value than this

OMG that was It's a pity they didin't represent Estonia, at least something really creative. What is that song about? "Meiecundimees one Korsakov went yesterday to Latvia" ? i hope they do next year this song main theme is about how overhyped strongmen (of which symbol Korsakov is in the song) are often much weaker than they appear and break many things quite easily. but title means "ourneighbourhoodman one Korsakov went to Latvia yesterday" so translation is close enough btw they also later on peformed in fashion show with same song (i never tought fashion shows can be interesting... i guess i was wrong lol) and this song may actually be holder of guiness record in few months (after verification) as fastest song peformed live so i really hope they will try again next year as it would probably mean ESC win lol- if that would happen, btw, it would be very interesting as it would be same as it was in 1999-2001, when Sweden won in 99, Denmark in 2000 and Estonia in 2001

warning: following video may cause epileptic seizures (note- this video does contain heavy flashing (no, not that kind you dirty minds ), so its no pointless warning) note- also watch the video, not just play it in backround Winny Puhh- "Meiecundimees üks Korsakov läks eile Lätti" 2dllo85ZSUk this song, btw, was very close of representing Estonia in Eurovision this year. i somehow even connect it to Freeman's mind lol.

this may sound like a silly question, but... what do cards in steam do?

As Bullseye said Yeah, im old fashioned in that respect, that i feel uncomfortable shooting (ingame of course) zombies that arent actually zombies, but living sick people, who could be- given the correct treatment -cured, despite cure not known yet, as it is in L4D universe tho i just think them as normal zombies, otherwise its just bit too creepy for me D:

Yeah, MI4 is the weakest one I agree. MI4 plus, however, is the variety of locations- i mean you got not one, but 4 islands to fully explore also, i found Toothrot regaining memory quite.. amusing plus, puzzles are quite hard at times so yeah, i still say its weakest, but its mostly due to storyline continuity itself (+few changes in voice actors irritated me) and the fact that you had to use keyboard only
-
decided to go trough all monkey island games once more... currently at escape from monkey island (MI4, the one with no mouse support) i love these games, tho MI4 is seriously weak link... but it still has its charms
-
Left 4 Dead 2 from steam sale. i just love the game, though only disturbing element is that "zombies" arent zombies in conventional meaning, but just sick alive people

The start of a beautiful life-long friendship. Before it consumes you for food. As Stargate fan, this popped into my mind: only- imagine larva tok'ra symbiote hanging over his shoulder (well, yeah, they cant live in sunlight, but just for laughs you can imagine they do)

You. Are. An. IDIOT!!!!!!! Would you go near an alien larva-creature! I don't think so! Wow I'm an idiot for expressing my opinion. You. Are. Rude. Again, this is not me, this is not you, this is Gordon Freeman, a guy running around in a suit killing batallions of aliens and soldiers. I'm just disappointed that he just shot it a few times and walked away. He didn't walk away from the rocket launcher which, according to your logic, he should have. People in real life don't stumble accross a modern rocket launcher and instantly know how to use it with perfection and decide to use it when they just could walk away from the threat. Go on, tell me how badass you are and totally would have picked up a rocket launcher, knew how to load it, and shoot it at a helicopter firing high-velocity machine guns at you ~~ This "what would you do"-argumentation is pure BS. While i agree that he is rude, he does make valid point about alien larva. You compared it to rocket launcher. Im sorry, but thats like comparing... half life to monkey island. just no comparison possible. I mean, rocket launcher is what pretty much anyone who is watching even a bit of tv or surfs web familiar with, while same cant be said to alien larva. Besides, loading rocket launcher like this should be fairly easy- just place missle in correct way and shoot. While yes, i agree this aint probably most logical, whole this, but hell- its a game after all, Ross is simply placing it more realistic content. Games are rarely realistic, especially FPS games. i mean name one realistic FPS game (if there are extraterrestials there, exclude that). Half life? Counter strike (any of them)? battlefield? call of duty? BTW i think that overall, this situation can be explained by Freeman's mood swings- i mean there are more paranoid moments in series and less paranoid ones. this was one time he was more paranoid, thinking prbably that this thing tried to trick him or it was some pod that would spawn some *** all over him or something like that. So he was simply too paranoid, thinking that it was trap set by frog people for all we know

hm, after what episode was list updated last time?
-
i voted no. Only real problem is that they seem... out of place so far down the road. This kind of chances should've been implemented at very start imho, not years into show. Other than that, i really like new sounds, but really, its really bizarre.

What is Your Favourite Freeman's Mind Quote/Episode/Moment

well, does it really matter what he said? I really, really like disappointed noise facehugger makes when falling -
What is Your Favourite Freeman's Mind Quote/Episode/Moment
Meelis13 replied to Trickiert's topic in Freeman's Mind
tbh, this whole series is excellent, but my probably most favourite part is in ep 44, when Freeman rants about mind control, looks into tube, facehugger jumps out and right after that, Freeman dodges it, so that facehugger falls... "YEAH! Burrow that, mother***er! SPLAT!" the sound that facehugger does, is just too good as is Freeman's reaction after that btw whole episode brought out my fear of heights.. -
well, i wouldnt be wondering if he would have tought that whoever was driving it, used Mr. Bean's security system on that one. Not to mention this wouldnt be far most bizarre thing he had seen at this point- i mean if you see aliens and humans trying to kill you every single corner, crate smashing room, turret guns in stairs, huge fan with only controls being accessible ONLY when fan is offline, starting ww3 (missle launch) etc, you would simply go "meh" on missing car wheel
-
i know, video game logic, but seriously- i would like to hear Ross's version of that (in form of another rant), as it really starts to bug me, since everything is more realistic lol but as far as your theory goes- i wonder where this "portal pocket" is..... and why Freeman hasnt used it to store his "backup stash"
-
y'know, i started to think- where he puts all these weapons and ammo? i mean, the suit doesnt even have pockets, does it? would make good Rambo rant (well, another one)
-
i like twilight i'd rather shoot myself (you made me want to act stupid here lol)
-
simple- he just stepped trough the cap between rails
-
Heh, i figured it will happen. Still, they leave some restrictions in place i see. BTW, call me paranoid, but i think they will restore these limitations some time down the road, when people have already bought it, as "harmless" update.

Not many funny stories about harddrive from me. Though i must say my old (about 8-10 years old) PC is like weaker version of nokia- bloody indestructible! it has: got its power button surroundings (center of front panel) smashed in, creating nice triangle only attaced to rest of front panel plastic by bottom line been forgotten in the rain- was cleaning it, someone called me to do something and later i forgot about it. only remembered it when i wanted to play GTA SA, which was few hours later. It got clean alright XD Fallen from aprox 1,1 meter table not once, but at least 3 times, which i can recall right now, all times because of cat- had it placed one side being bit higher up, otherwise it was too loud and i preferred to leave it on. Cat liked to sit on it and watch outside and when he jumped off of it.... One time was even so (i also kept its lid off, so air could get in- system kept overheating otherwise), that it landed on top of hammer (it was there due to ongoing renovation), big one, so that it even hit motherboard and RAM-s. This is why i started to call it indestructible. gotten squirted on by my 2 cats (yeah, nasty, i know...), including all over hardware. Resulting this, i have at least once washed it with water hose (this was when it started to become too old to be of any use) and its kept in moist room pretty much entire time, which has resulted in some case rusting. Despite all this, believe it or not, it still works and despite beaten up looks (like, literally- its case is bent), only problem now is related with software, as it had some virus which caused win xp to go haywire (luckily i never had any really important info there) and i just dont find any point of clearing it up, so right now, its sitting unplugged in corner.

Yeah he acted very unprofessional. My impression of Microsoft worsens the harder they try to convince us. i agree (like i said, im pure PC gamer, but it amuses me to watch chatter around consoles)- currently they are just like "oh, were gonna sell 1 billion copies. But you can watch TV! Oh, but we made camera that is always spying on you so we could sell footage to intelligence agencies or just internet weirdos. But you can watch TV! However, you cant use it in certain countries. But you can watch TV! You cant play games from previous xbox. *insert same punchline*! You must have internet connection once during every 24 hours (so if you lose connection for more than that, well.. /care). But did we mention already that you can watch TV thanks to xbox one? And naturally we can just turn it off whenever we feel like it. (there were more but i forgot about half text due to sleepiness I guess Einstein was correct when he said: "two things are infinite- universe and human stupidity and im not sure about universe"...

so apparently latest news are, that as soon as next generation xbox reaches public, ALL xbox one servers are going offline.... way to go lol

Since it was water and i have had similar situation with worse liquid- coca cola, i also think that its fair chance that it will be okay, as you acted quickly. As computer student, i reccommend you to disassemble everything as much as you can and also replace termopaste (that is english word for it, i believe), if it has been wiped away by water. As you are drying it out already. Even after its dried out, let it be left alone just a bit. I do think it might continue to work without any singificant damage though, as it was quite common for me few years back until i got decent enough table to place my PC in without any fear of liquids. As far as water drinking goes- ever tried drinking from pringles can? small one is just in correct size for a cup and best part- you can close its lid hard enough for no drip to fall out (at least until it hits floor) with ease and you can open it easily. Used this trick too and tbh i kinda liked it, but i got too lazy pouring my cola to pringles can+ it lost all bubbles XD In any case, good luck! EDIT! oh and it helps to place your power input so, that it wouldnt get any liquid damage, but would be only hand reach away to pull the plug (and if you are extra cautious- some piece of rubber cloth or even rubber gloves), if needed- helps to minimise damage, if more severe thing should happen
