  1. I hope you forgive me for posting more than one story Probably best one i have didnt happen to me, but to one of my friends. Namely, he broke his leg in very interesting way (wasnt there, but heard from many witnesses)- he jumped out of schools second story (i guess it is equal to first floor to americans? like ground floor & first floor?) window.... twice. Namely, he did it first time as a bet. All good. After he did it, someone said "i didnt see it"- not related to bet, but wanting to impress most people possible i guess, he jumped again. *snap* He wore a cast for few months and to make it better it was just when weather started to get warm, so he missed like half the warm season. As for my personal injuries, i've had a few. Had my thumb on right hand broken when i slipped and fell on iron pole thumb-first when sledging in 4th grade (~10 years old). Then i had my left eyebrow cracked open (required 5 stitches) around same age, though after thumb injury. Namely, i was playing a game with my brother (dont know the games name in english, but one player is blindfolded and has to catch someone else- i was blindfolded in this case). So i was chasing him, he used a scarf to distract me. As so it happened, we played in room with stone heatwall with sitting area connected to it (all made out of stone, cant explain it better) and it had our summer shoes next to it. So after one distraction, i rushed forward, stumbled upon shoes and hit the edge of that sitting area i mentioned. Seeing how much blood was flowing, i think i fell into bit of a shock and i remember thinking and saying im gonna die. Naturally i was overreacting, but still it had to be stitched.. wasnt fun. Also, i remember when i was like 13-14 or so and wanted to go for swimming. The road i had to take went downhill and had deep cracks in them (been long fixed since then), but me being overconfident about my biking abilities, went on full speed. And of course, i ended up with wheels in one of those cracks (they went parallel with road) creating rail effect and it pulled bike from under me. As i wore long pants, it only resulted in minor bleeding. But thats not all- after stopping the bleeding and changing for shorts (not cool having bloodstained pants), i decided to go to swim anyways. Again, i crashed in EXACT SAME SPOT. Full speed of course. This time i knocked same knee out rather badly and it ended my fun for that day. Week or so later, after wound had healed. Decided to go swimming again. Same route, same speed, same bloody crack. After that it took year or so until i dared to rush in that place. Last one im gonna share atm is also related to biking. It was only 4-5 years ago. Winter time, snowy & icy street. Of course i decide to go to shop. On bike. So im off the bridge (same bridge thats in above story, as its in pretty much center of town) and taking steep turn. On smooth, strong plate of ice. Now, you may think that this is something i shouldnt do, well, maybe, but at the time i was very much used to these conditions. Everything was going fine, but as it happened, night was rather stormy and windy. And road being next to coast of river, thats where wind was its strongest. So exactly as i turned, huge blast of wind literally took bike from under me (fyi- when i turn on plain ice, i dont hold strong grip because i can prevent falling better that way). I aint joking, i felt like a cartoon character who only stays in air until looks down. I felt bike go bye-bye before i even started falling. Result- left wrist was painful for a week to the point i tought it was broken. It wasnt, but i think it was badly sprained.
  2. If you have spare game, drop it here. Why make this topic? well, i do have few spare games (bought random key pack, these are ones im not really interested in, so meh- all steam btw): *all keys taken* if you want one (or heck, as far as im concerned, all of them), let me know. nothing special, i know, but hey- its free for you as i already got suckered into paying for it -.- also, if you have spare key, post it in this topic
  3. And it apparently caused one of Paris (France ofc) airports to black out for a day... https://news.vice.com/article/windows-31-is-still-alive-and-it-just-killed-a-french-airport *applauds*
  4. ok, so how are we gonna organise this? forums seem like bad place for this. Personally, i have few hours free in late evenings (from 21.00 (9PM) GMT+2) Also, i think we should be friends in steam to get invites to game, no? if so, my steam profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Meelis13/
  5. so how about it? i think 4 of us would be ok, as having larger ammount of players online would be a hassle
  6. i know i edited the post. strongly disagreed on BGC being best tho. First 2-3 seasons of BGC was very grindy at times in first go. Project Freelancer series is actually my favourite (well, bits of Freelancers anyways). True- humor did suffer a bit in Project Freelancer (though it had its good moments, mostly revolving around York, North and Wash), but story-wise it was considerable improvement, as well as action-wise (lot of credit in it goes to late Monty Oum). Also, you could argue that first half of season 11 wasnt that great, but rest of Chorus triology.. holy heck, especially season 13. 13 is definetly my favourite season with best humor and action and heck, even the story. So yeah, newer seasons dont have so much standing around and talking anymore (though they do revert to that time to time), but more story, more random humor and more action
  7. since this topic has almost exactly been idle for 3 years to the minute (well, ok, 40 minutes off), im gonna bump it. How many of you liked Chorus triology? Season 13 was best one to date- and Felix one of best villains IMHO so.. how many of you still watch it? edit! oops- guess i was still living in 2014 XD i meant 4 years of course
  8. probably have about 100 mods or more for civ V- most of them new civs. But on other hand, thats also the reason why i havent played the game for long time... I want civs and ethnic units mod, but it takes me 15 to 30 minutes just to start game (not weak PC, just too many mods).. Best moment (no-nuke game).. had 3 cities, closely together. Domination win- had small military (mobile rocket launchers in all cities+ 6 patrol units (compared to other huge armies it was laughable), was well into future techs researches and had ton of money (lets just say i was loaded). 3 major powers (started with 11 civs (excluding me)) and me- managed to keep myself out of conflict until the time. I think i was playing as Estonia (mod from steam workshop ofc), while remaining powers were Greece, Russia and i think last one was Holy roman empire (again, mod). All 3, who had been fighting for few centuries at this point, declared truce to one another and soon allied themselves. Of course that was quickly followed by AI ridicolous demands. All 3 declare war on me. Russia had strongest army and large open sector to attack in, while HRE (territorially biggest) was pushing trough mountains. Greece was on other side of continent, so not immideate threat. Money is the power- i quickly bribed militaristic city states and those with uranium and started buying military, while using patrol units to hold enemy occupied, while my mobile missle launchers rained fire upon enemy ranks. Lost all but 1 missle launcher from original units, but few giant death robots and XCOM troops, supported with troops from city states and new missle launchers, it quickly became massacre of opponents. Needless to say i won soon after but i would definetly be up for MP @k4_Kydure @Jeb_CC some mods do work, but its hassle getting them to in MP as most assume all players have those. Not sure how you activate them tho.
  9. There are lot of cool civs out there. Plus ethnic units mod that really works well
  10. for me it takes 15 minutes just to start civ 5- just so many mods
  11. Great episode as always and i watched your video, i'd get that candy now But no, you are indeed right about this bad practise... Hm, perhaps we should start suing those companies promising "play forever" when they effectively shut game down few months later.
  12. Dying Light from steam halloween sale
  13. Dying light. Saw it on sale, heard it was mix of good side of Dead Island and Mirror's Edge, so got it.
  14. ok, fair points. i stand corrected.
  15. Tbh even having SP games cracked legally is step in right direction. Goverments do like to take baby steps in something like this, plus it definetly makes it easier to save MP portion as well when it becomes legal (only matter of time). So yeah, i disagree that its not a big deal- it is, even though immideate profit is, well, non-existent. I mean thats how goverments try to do stuff- see how it works on scale that everyone is pretty much already doing it, then give bit more rights. Still, you got a point of it not saving some most-threatened games. Not fan of MMORPG-s and MOBA-s, but i feel these 2 are most threatened by server closures, as well as any other online-only games (basically also those "singleplayer" games that require authentication every 5 minutes online). As for companies, well i get where you are coming from, but truth be told- if your idea would be enforced, it actually would hurt industry badly, especially indie developers who might not have resources or time to get end-plan in. And there would be lot less AAA titles.. So imho, they should just pay some fee to all clients if they dont have end-of-the-life plan in place after some time.
  16. Since we are sharing... (not participating, just wanting to show off screens) yup. Thats a puma. It tried to eat me, but i managed to get out of the way, then it fell there. Btw it was still alive and it still tried to attack me. One of first screens i uploaded to steam
  17. world war 2: time of wrath. basically numbed down Hearts of Iron 2 or even 1. Ideally its supposed to have more options and graphical action to show, but no tutorial or instructions makes it near impossible to get started, plus its buggy and its sloooow as hell.
  18. Life is Strange. Still emotional rollercoaster of the decade, still my game of the decade, but damn, that ending sucks heres my review if anyone is interested (i hope this isnt against rules): http://www.twcenter.net/forums/content.php?266-Review-Life-is-Strange
  19. heh, that was great no way in hell im gonna play this, but fun episode to watch and more detailed explanation of soul contracts you mentioned a looooooooooooooooooooooong time ago (if im not confusing it with anything else- unlikely tho). Something i wanted to hear a while.
  20. Mass Effect franchise (dont be worried about bad reputation of ME3- its far better game than its made out of) Life is Strange (emotional rollercoaster of the decade for certain, personal GOTY) Rocket League (suprisingly fun) DiRT rally (great rally game) Mafia- The city of Lost heaven (amongst best stories ever) Assassin's Creed franchise (if you are into history. Might not be too original anymore, but still lots of fun) Total war franchise (if you want some RTS) Monkey island franchise peggle GTA franchise
  21. downloading Dirt Rally as i write this (havent played racing game in years, proper rally game (not NFS style) even longer)
  22. Same here. Also, Femshep definetly is better than male. Jennifer Hale's voice acting is one of many reasons ("alright, sit tight little guy, anyone gives you trouble, go for the eyes!") using default face or mods?
  23. if you got entire triology, get citadel DLC- full worth the price Got all the DLC niice got to say though, buying DLC for Mass Effect 2 & 3 sucks... bloody bioware points... and its expensive- but hey, at least its better than 90 percent of DLC-s. got story ones myself as well. You play as male or femshep?
  24. if you got entire triology, get citadel DLC- full worth the price
  25. theres a better mod list for M&B in taleworlds forums- you can find better crusader mods
