So you guys know the deceptively cheerful Cupcakes animation that came out a while back? Yeah, the guy who made that made another animation called "Smile HD", I'd post it or even link to it but it's pretty gory and not for the faint of heart. Go find it yourself if you want to.

Oh trust me, the artists (especially the R34 ones) got to her WAY before the writers did.

Not talking about quality, I liked it as well, but we were told by Megan and others that work on the show that (at least as far as Season 4 is concerned) the movie will have no impact on the show.

It sucks because Hasbro is still sliding down the slippery slope of shittiness and selling out to make toys. The entire original point of the show was to sell toys and while a few details of certain characters were changed, 90% of Lauren's original plans are still there. And even then, the biggest cash grab, EQG, is non-canon.

I want Princess backstory! Or really anything involving Celestia and Luna, and maybe even Cadence.

I found it annoying at first but it grew on me by the time the video was over. Can't have the sound too loud when listening, though.

Uhhhh 2 years ago we had maybe a tenth of the sheer numbers we have now. The only reason we seemed more active was because we as a group were finding new things to branch out into, whether that be animation, music, fanfiction, or meetups just for us. Not to mention the media coverage was a lot more common then because we were new. Just wait until Season 4 starts up (or when EQG hits the internet in a more official capacity than just camera recordings), people will start to liven up again.

Indeed, it's just that this thread in particular hasn't been used recently. A lot of the bigger cons are going to happen in the next month or two as well, so everyone keep their ears and eyes open because we may get sweet golden nuggets like the one we got today.

Wow okay I haven't been here long, so I don't know how things are run, but that's completely out of line. You can't just retroactively "ruin" something by having a couple fans make unofficial crossovers.

Aspects of a thing should not be held as a standard of that thing's quality, only how those aspects were used should determine how good or bad something is. Anything else is bias.

I always just theorized that they were imported from other lands where creatures with hands and claws are more prominent, and to reverse engineer stuff back into pony-only use would take too much effort.

Yeah the romance thing was less of a subplot and more of a, "let's bump into each other a lot and have an iota of chemistry, just enough to make the both of us ally with each other." Personally I'm fine with a romance plot here or there, but even so there really wasn't much to that part of it. Though I'm still a bit odded out that Twi starts crushing on him even though he's human. Maybe since Equestria has so many races they're not so biased against xenophilia? I don't know...

I, personally, would not mind. Because I'm mature enough to ignore things that I don't like. That said that cartoon seems fun, even if I can't read the comments...

Jokes aside, I wasn't aware that there existed such a... large MLP post on this forum, my apologies for not looking beforehand. Although to be honest, even if I had known I likely would have posted it on this part of the forum anyway since in my mind this is more pertinent to FM than it is to MLP.
