You know what a high horse looks like? Responding to week-old drama to tell someone to quit ruining your thread. I don't care what direction this thread goes in, but don't act like you do if you're going to persistently respond to shit that ended a week ago. If you wanted me to leave this thread so badly you would've shut up by now instead of continuing to provoke me.

Keep in mind this thread has been dead for a week now. Neither person has responded and neither person cares to respond. Maybe you should follow your own advice.

^Gonna have to ask that you guys stop posting stuff that doesn't contribute to the discussion in any meaningful way. It's fine, almost none of this comes off as rambling. There's a lot to pick apart here but I like to keep my posts short and concise, so here I go. I've noticed you have a very intuitive view of the situation, which is fair, but I think you're misunderstanding what I mean by privilege. When I say social privilege, I mean something that exists on a demographic level, and as such it doesn't protect you from depression, poverty, or even prejudice. It's just general advantages you get as the member of a primary demographic. For example, most men have an inherent financial advantage by not having to pay for menstrual hygiene products. On an individual level that privilege is essentially gone if you're a trans man or if you pay for your partner's tampons or pads. Also, you're right, the world isn't necessarily fair and it never will be fair. The world would be an awfully boring place without a fight to fight so I'm content with that reality. Nobody is born equal and nobody can be made equal, everyone is different and that's extremely important to recognize.

This is more or less what I was talking about. You immediately took offense and escalated this in to petty and pointless bickering, and every time you do this it's pretty much nothing more than setting up a trap so you have an excuse to report whoever responds. I'm not "digging up hatchets" as Selous put it, I'm trying to discuss the point of why I don't get along with you.

1. White privilege does exist and you basically just demonstrated the exact reason why people reject it's existence. You're essentially afraid that the concept of white privilege only exists to shame white people for being white. Privilege isn't a bad thing, and less privileged people don't hate you for having it. They just find it disrespectful to see how you're taking advantage of it in day to day life without even recognizing that you have it. Marginalized groups don't have social privilege and that's why you don't hear about "black privilege" or "female privilege" Social privilege isn't complicated to understand. "Identity politics" only exists because of social privilege and by extension people who reject the idea that it exists. You can't get rid of it until you can get rid of all forms of bigotry and social disadvantage for marginalized demographics. it's not going away until people start recognizing their social privilege and stop trying to brush it off like it doesn't exist.

The issue isn't that you're blunt. It's that you can't handle being wrong, you're stubborn, you victimize yourself, and you cop out when you're cornered. There have been many situations in which you've made a wild provably false claim, been called out on it, and escalated the situation in to a petty bitch fight instead of just conceding like any other person would. This happened twice when your claims about your experience with TF2 and hackers didn't add up, and once just half a year ago when you claimed science was a religion and that years used to be shorter because the Romans didn't measure winters. All of these situation could've been de-escalated if you didn't feel such a stubborn need to defend everything you say as factual and correct.

If you haven't seen Coco, it's well worth your time and money. Pixar is basically incapable of producing anything bad at this point.
