  1. Need someone having programming knowledge, to extract map data from the game? Challenge accepted! (after I will get nice night sleep)
  2. Didn't notice that before your post.. WHY HAVE YOU DONE THAT?!
  3. How can you know that? How can you know that their contract doesn't say something along the lines of: "Machinima owns the rights to every video/show posted under them."? For example, my contract with my job specifically stated that all intellectual property that I create during that contract, belongs to them. Well. One can argue that the content was created while 'off the job', not at work hq or something along those lines. And that wouldn't change things, because the contract doesn't state: "during work-hours (on-duty)", but instead tells: "during continuance of his employment". Which also includes the time off the job.

  5. Do you read news on the homepage? Episode 43 Episode 44 Your welcome So what? I am sorry, but it seems to me that there are no links there either. As for 'Downloadable copy will be up after a revision is done to the audio.' and 'Downloadable copy will be up after I move', I have noticed that, of course. Maybe, I didn't explain it here: I wanted to say that I had lost all my patience. LOL, the next episode is ready but the previous still has no link provided... Since you have read the news, you should know that those links are not available, at the moment.

  7. GnI1991 I hate those kind of software/websites which ask for username which is at least 4 characters long. Why? For passwords it makes sense to set a lower bound for length of it. But for usernames... OK, I will shut up now.
  8. That would work! Because spambots don't post anything else than their spam messages (I haven't seen one that makes at least one post that wouldn't be useless and off-topic).
  9. That is one of a viable solutions. But there are some spambots who have a delay of about a month from account creation until first post. Given the most recent activities, I saw some spambot with account created at 18th of November with a first message at the beginning of December. And after that one was banned, I saw other one with exactly the same message later that evening, which was created at 19th of November. So, possibly it would restrict actions of some spambots, but not all of them. But, hey! At least some prevention is better than nothing!
  10. Well, it really hardly help in this case:
  11. Hello, I think this is the correct place to post this, since description states that this part of forum relates to AF forums as well, so... I just wanted to ask: isn't there a better way to deal with accounts created for spamming? Some sort of automated system which wouldn't allow to post spam-suspected posts without administration's approval, for example. I just want to believe that in this, information age, there is a system, or at least a prototype to analyzing texts and detecting which of those might be spam. And there is! There are spam-filters for e-mail. So, won't modified version of it would work for forums also? It's just a question that occurred for me, after seeing some sort of spam message every 1-2 days. And they always come in bulk. If one account gets banned, then some other account would emerge with the same spam message. The question system currently in use, helps to some extent. Yes, spambot is less likely to create account of its own. But, what if it gets created manually, and the creator of that account, puts the URL of forum + Username + Password in spambot's database, then without automatic textual analysis of posts, it is hard to stop them posting. Because their posts tend to litter up the forums, and, since the spambots can spam for pornographic web-sites as well, and this forum might, potentially, have under-age people in it, it should be reason enough to not allow them to post spam.
  12. The way I see it, it goes down like this: You: "I need volunteers for a mystery video Random people on the internet: *Oh hey, it's a mystery, so if I asked for help, I'll get a sneak peek of this mysterious video, maybe even see the whole thing before anyone else* "Hey Ross pick me! I want to help!" You: *Tells them what to do or whatever it is you do* Random people on the internet: *This isn't what I expected at all* So then they walk away not realizing that they're further delaying great work, and making your job harder. That or they're like me and they easily get destrac- *starts up Skyrim* Well, probably. But even I have enough common sense to understand if I volunteer for something that I can't do, he will be counting on me doing my job, and if I didn't do it - it will slow him down, because he would need to find a replacement. I love to help people out, especially would love to do so on such awesome videos. But since I don't have any skills in video-making, and didn't see any announcement for looking for anything matching my current skill set, I have enough common sense not to volunteer, because I don't want to be more of a burden. So I can't comprehend what those guys (or to be more gender-neutral - people) were actually thinking.. P.S. I often feel a bit philosophical (or talkative) late at night (Chem.. 4AM ), so sorry if this was a bit off-topic.
  13. That is precisely what makes "brainfuck" type movies/videos so great! There are lots of space for interpretation/imagination!
  14. I followed your advice to watch in a dark room (it was pretty easy since it was 11:40 PM when I started watching it).
  15. I agree.. He would be bad at not ("accidentally") shooting a server with 12-gauge.
