  1. I have tried a few different ones. The one I have no I bought from tigerdirect. It is from a company called Antec. It has a metal grate, two fans, 2 speeds, and a pass through usb so you can plug in another device as well. It is very strong, and quiet. The only problem is that it comes with rubber "feet" that stick in holes to lift the laptop up slightly. However, with both of my pads, they kept falling out. So I removed them. My laptop has little feet anyway so it is elevated a tad. If I want, I will glue the other ones back on the pad. You may want to get one that has a built in stand. I have a separate one already, so I didn't need it. I read recently about a cooling pad/stand that is supposed to be good. It is called Cradia Minifit CRF-104 XL Laptop Stand/Cooler.
