  3. Thanks for the feedback! One thing I've been considering is swapping out the nVidia card with this one, what do you think?
  4. Yep, almost all I/O devices are already in place. I will be borrowing a monitor my parents don't use for a little while until I can get my own, but all other peripherals are bought and ready to go!
  5. Hey there folks, long time no see. I need some help. I'm currently working in building a PC for gaming/recording & editing for my YouTube channel. My current budget is about $880, I have $430 now, and will be getting the rest throughout the summer (gotta work in order to have the money to play), anyway, I've been working the price of this current build down and feel it is close to being ready, however, I'd like a second opinion. Feel free to give any tips/criticisms about the build that you feel would be helpful. 6. Hey folks, I'm making this as to get a general consensus as to what the AF community feels about Ross, if he was willing, continuing Freeman's mind into Half Life 2.
  7. These are all pretty cool!
  8. Not at all, that's a perfectly acceptable response in my opinion, this is just a topic for discussions regarding security, and concerns surrounding that topic are valid.
  9. Forum Browsing
  10. Hello everyone, I wanted to create this topic to facilitate discussions about computer security. This includes what software you recommend/use, threats that may concern you (i.e. current/emerging malware types), or possible issues you are currently having involving security. Note: Please do not link to malware or other threats to security, we want to discuss security, not put it in peril. As for posting your setup, I felt the following format may be best: OS: Current Security Programs Installed: Frequency of Infection: Risk of Infection: (the chances of getting a virus due to your browsing/usage habits) Here's mine OS: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 Current Security Programs Installed: EDIT: NEW: Avast! free Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes PRO, Windows Firewall, NEW: SUPERAntiSpyware Free, NEW: Emsisoft Anti-Malware Free Frequency of Infection: Very Rare Risk of Infection: Low Happy Posting!
  11. With all the violence going on in Syria, one must wonder, what is the world to do? We know that any choice we make will have a profound effect on the entire region, and on the international community. Though Russia and China are urging no action be taken, many can agree that when we see things like , action MUST be taken, but then arises the question, what, do we arm the rebels, do we strike key military points, do we continue to wait and see? Leave your ideas below.
  12. Yeah probably. I dont think I will be needing any more help. Gonna try downloading new updates (old) once I have access to the laptop. Thanks y'all! Glad we could help, hopefully the issue is resolved.
  13. Hey there folks, I'm in the search for a new pair of ear buds that I can use for my iPod Touch 4th generation, and thought I might consult you guys. I had two pairs before, and both are failing. First Sony MDREX10LP Earbud Headphones Failure(s): 1. Audio is stronger in right ear than in left (this only happens with my iPod, they work fine on my PC) Pro(s): 1. Sharp sound 2. Light Weight 3. Curved plug to avoid shorts Next Pair JVC Marshmallow Headphones with Microphone and Remote Failure(s): 1. Remote to play/pause/skip died with in a couple months after purchase 2. Odd occurrence where if the end of the plug bent, the audio's volume would spike 3. Right bud shorts out frequently Pro(s): 1. Deep sound 2. Good Bass 3. Nice fit I am a frequent listener (pretty much daily) and listen to a wide variety of music (from classical to dubstep, and everything in between), so I need them to be versatile in audio reponse and able to be used frequently. My budget is around $50, and I can't go much higher than that. Here are the ones I've found myself (EDIT, I've narrowed it down to two): NXG NX-HTOBB Head Trip Overdrive Bass Earbuds, Black MEElectronics Original M Series M31 In-Ear Headphones, Assorted Colors So out of those, which would you recommend, or, if none look good, feel free to leave a recommendation of your own.
  14. It could have something to do with the nVidia update, I would search for others having problems with that driver version, also, should you tell us what driver version are you on, just go to the nVidia control panel, help, updates, and look for the driver version.
