  1. After Forget About Freeman, which is about average chapter length (Black Mesa shortens it down considerably, which may have altered our views on how long it will take), we still have Lambda Core, which in addition to being quite long, it has that one section involving a Cylindrical Chamber, 9 Portals, and a series of Rotating Platforms. Not to mention the Reactor Coolant Sequence as well! Chapter Length in Xen ranges from "Walk 5 Steps And You're Done" (Xen) to "Obscenely Long, Confusing & Directionless" (Interloper). My Estimates for Forget About Freeman & Lambda Core (May be skewed due to Optimism & Pessimism):
  2. Not to mention Ross probably wouldn't use anything not part of the game as-is. It'd only cause angst and confusion. People got annoyed due to the changing audio last episode, after all.
  3. I chose no, because I don't have a cat or dog, forcing me to make a decision. Cats induce allergies in the family, and dogs freak me the hell out. They're worse than spiders, maaaan. I would be game for changing up other sounds such as explosions (because it gets a tad repetitive) and maybe ambient noises like electricity or energy fields humming, for example. Anything that adds immersion without taking out too much of the original game.
  4. Even for people without amnesia.I don't think people without amnesia would particularly forget about the giant drumkit-tentacle-monster that nearly crushed them to death on multiple occasions that they had to blow up with a jet engine.
  5. Modern Major General <3 And right during a flareup of G&S love i'm recently having, this is just the best thing ever. I know there's not going to be any more singing, but I'm absolutely certain he would also under these circumstances also sing As Some Day It May Happen too.
  6. Long time lurker, I am glad that the episode will be up within a few hours - even though it will be at around midnight for me and I will have to sleep and miss the release (edited since ross said we shouldn't be mean)
  7. He used that already in the Blast Pit chapter, when walking past the tentacles. I thought that his walking slowly didn't attract noise, but when I tried doing that myself, the Tentacles pounced on me like a Hobo who has just found a crate of Wine. As I was running away screaming madly, I realized that Ross had just used NoTarget for that section, and that was by last thought before I realized that my lower body was now at the opposite end of the room from me. Well played, Ross. Well played.
