  1. I don't know if this has been said before but i think you could seek free legal (known as legal aid in the u.s.) since you know, being low on cash and all.
  2. This (so far) has originals and covers.
  3. Oh yeah, they should totally fucking team up dude! It'd be so fucking awesome if they'd all move over to TGWTG/Blip. Ye know. Djy1991 (David Young) & DasBoSchitt. Shit'd be so awesme. Just think of all the possibilities.
  4. Hey hey hey, hold your horses. Let's give them a little more time before immense hate begins.
  5. Maybe. Just Maybe. Blip.tv. are scared of posting your content because Machinima might sue them. D'ya think it's possible?. Try searching 'Freeman's Mind' on Blip.tv.
  6. Kickstarter wouldn't make any sense for this sort of thing. it'd get underpaid and less than worthwhile attention.
  7. Hey Ross. Have you tried Voice123?
  8. Dear Ross. I'm being curious here. Do machinima have some sort of 'binding' contract (possibly an expired one?) claiming IP (intellectual property) of you, your youtube account(s) or your portrayal of Gordon Freeman?. If they do. 1. Create a new Youtube Account under another username, careful not to link it with any existing info. 2. Link adsense (that's what i heard was done) to the account in your girlfriend's name. 3. Make let's plays of games you love, fuck. revisit sonic if you have to. 4. Fallout 3/NV? Also, in full honesty, if i had some leftover wingwangs i'd be more than happy to upload say, 50 or 100 bucks your way for the hours of entertainment, and of course, just, being a part of your work (le civil protection christmas special)
  9. The more you know, my friend
  10. Here you go On October 26, 1996, a well-known gaming clan, the Rangers, surprised the Quake community with Diary of a Camper, the first widely known machinima film. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSGZOuD3kCU In January 2000, Hugh Hancock, the founder of Strange Company, launched a new website, machinima.com. The new name surprised the community; a misspelled contraction of machine cinema (machinema), the term machinima was intended to dissociate in-game filming from a specific engine. The misspelling stuck because it also referenced anime. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machinima
  11. RT is signed with Machinima? What the hell are you talking about? They have nothing to do with Machinima. They are their own company. http://www.machinima.com/affiliates They are in the least, affiliated with Machinima.
  12. RT is signed with Machinma. Ross is signed with Machinima. Going down in the ladder?.
  13. hehehehe
  14. Me neither, but lots of people sure seem too. I wonder where they get all these insider tips, I say sarcastically. I read this article not a long time ago stating that the majority of today's machinima directors have signed away their 'life' on youtube to make money off their videos. There's bullshit in the contract, like machinima owns all material you post on youtube until your death, possibly even longer, and that everything you make will belong to machinima. But in my opinion, those kind of 'traps' can be gotten out of via a good lawyer.
  15. Seeing as how he still works with machinma he already has.
  16. How can you know that? How can you know that their contract doesn't say something along the lines of: "Machinima owns the rights to every video/show posted under them."? For example, my contract with my job specifically stated that all intellectual property that I create during that contract, belongs to them. Well. One can argue that the content was created while 'off the job', not at work hq or something along those lines.
  17. Hi everyone. My name is Ólafur. I've been registered here for a while, but i recently noticed that i don't have 'a reputation' so well. i thought this would be a good way to get to that. Things you didn't know about me: My full name is Ólafur Aronsson. I'm Icelandic. I'm 22 (turning 23 this year). I took part in an audio competition here, and got i think either 2nd or 3rd place. I have a youtube account that i've held in good condition since 2006. I've been interested in computers since around 1996. I've been working (fiddling) with audio and such and such since about 2004. I've owned a few pirate interet radio stations. I've worked (briefly) on GamerFM (which was an internet radio station for the source games, at least, it was at the time). I like doing video editing, but i can't find anything interesting to edit. My computer screen is 40". My stereo system consists of 6 speakers (2x50w,2x100w and 2x110w), and a subwoofer that consists 3 10" Mtx Terminator subs. Each of my speaker pairs serves a purpose as none of them are even close to being identical, or similar even. The 50w's are Kenwoods. The 100w's are Technics from the early 1980's, and the 110w's are Aiwas. I've also made music for quite a while. The first background song on the civil protection christmas special was made by me.
  18. Why don't you just leave Machinima?. If they give you trouble for the contact, get a lawyer. They don't own Half-Life. Valve does. They don't own Freeman's Mind either. That was your idea. It won't 'work' without you.
  19. I do very well sir, very well indeed.
  20. I'm new here, so pardon my language if i get too harsh. It really (f-bomb) bothers me how they (le people who made dnf) managed to (f-bomb) the game up so bady. I've been waiting for a continue to duke nukem: 3d since 1999/2000. Then they finally released it, and what strikes me the worst is the following: Congrats, you've been reduced from being able to carry 10 weapons down to two weapons and a bunch of shitty extras. This game isn't going to be fun, you know, so why did you bother buying it? They've totally gone shit with this. The only positive thing i find about Duke now is that well, John St. John still did the voiceover for Duke. Things they could've done without: Making the game so child friendly. Removing the (f-bomb) strippers!. Removing the awkwardly bad puns, some of which are though, quite memorable. Why did they really aim for this game to be played by 13-15 year olds? Have they really no sense at all? didn't they know about the enormous fanbase behind D3D?. I just hope, and i sincerely mean it, i hope that diablo 3 turns out fine. On may 15th i'll be sure to find out.
  21. Thanks for the welcomes. What does one do around here, for fun?.
  22. So as probably none of you know i'm transitioning the move from regular obscure electronica to hiphop. This is my first "complete" beat, that actually makes sense. I give you, "Original Bítur 2012 edit".
  23. I'm not well at these things, but from hearing a few things about this and that, when the body starts demanding more fluids it might mean: a) Pregnancy. b) Kidney failure. Get yerself checked up
  24. i was trying to herp.
  25. Hi Everyone. I'm Ólafur. I made this song: http://iamderp.bandcamp.com/track/what-have-i-done Of which an edited version appeared in this video: [starting at 0:17, ending at 0:47] Just wanted to make myself visible, Yay!. Currently working on more original songs, and i have to say, that i've moved onto more kind of hip-hop beats. I'm also working on starting my own record label.
