Maybe instead of using the "Forget about Freeman!" clip in the actual game, Ross is going to have Freeman find the radio and use it to communicate with a soldier played by someone else, to communicate the same plot point?
-
Awesome! Can we expect to see the new episode in the next couple of months?
-
Surely they can't keep this up much longer?
-
Alright, I'm a pessimistic asshole, but this thread still seems assholishly pessimistic to me.

CP is not FM.

I do not approve of Ross using the Cinematic Mod for Half-Life 2. I would rather he not even do Half-Life 2 than that he do it with that awful thing, or any other custom visual setup.
-
I hope this goes very well for you! I'm beginning to gain hope that, regardless of what Machinimia does, you will rise up and the content will go on.
-
Yeah, Freeman's Mind and Civil Protection are probably done. : (
-
As if some snitchy troll wouldn't rat Ross out. Stop encouraging Ross to do stupid things that'll get him in trouble and start figuring out how to actually take down Machinima.
-
It's official. Machinima stole Christmas.

The world sure likes screwing you, doesn't it?

Ross's new video seriously reminded me of this idea. -
A simple solution would be to add a warning after the intro title of your videos. It should be concise, for example: "watch only on channel x, donate only on website y, report scammers", you get the idea. I assume a lot of the dopplegangers won't take the time to edit out the warning and thus they will lose some audience. What if they REPLACE the warning with an identical one listing their channel and their website? :0

It's called Half-Life Source. It's not like Black Mesa - the content of the game wasn't changed it all, it was just ported from the Goldsrc engine to the Source engine. It's sold separately, so you can't upgrade the original Half-Life, sorry!
-
I was going to say bunnyhopping, but I can actually picture Ross's Freeman picking up bunnyhopping relatively quickly.
-
I think a better title would be "Should the Black Mesa team have been faster?" ...and I would say "no" to either, because I prefer Freeman's Mind to be in authentic Half-Life. (Still looking forward to Black Mesa, though.)

Someone really needs to update this with the maps from Op4 and BS and the Decay port. Hell, the Op4 journey intersects with the Half-Life journey both before and after Apprehension, so you could probably even establish continuity between the two halves of the Half-Life journey!

Here's my favorite map that I've made so far. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=76251780

How long will it take to finish Freeman's mind?
Box Tactics replied to Great_Destroyer's topic in Freeman's Mind
I wouldn't be surprised if it took till Episode 50 for him to finish Surface Tension. Surface Tension is pretty long. -
Aren't there some jokes that have been repeated intentionally to demonstrate Freeman's memory loss at the end of Apprehension?

I'm thinking in my game idea, one of the enemies would be crawling disembodied hands, maybe with mouths on them. Dunno why. -
I think he'll be in Surface Tension by that point.

Oh! What if he winds up in the censored German version? -

Hate to be so generic, but... An incredibly claustrophobic first-person horror game (with Valve-like immersion techniques) that takes place inside a giant building complex. Potential settings that would fit well with the idea include an office complex, a military base, or a hospital. So far, it could be Half-Life. However, it should be less combat-focused than Half-Life. Yeah, killing enemies should come up, but enemies should be somewhat rarer, so it feels more special when you encounter one. It should feature a greater variety of enemies, too, so you're less likely to think of it in terms like "oh, ANOTHER headcrab". It should be very nonlinear - and not just in the sense of having a few branches, either. There may be human characters, but they should be rare, and, like Half-Life (1), they should die quickly or at least not recur. There should be a detailed backstory that it takes multiple playthroughs to even scratch the surface of, too. And there shouldn't be any loading screens.
