  1. Agreed, but it doesn't seem to me from Ross's comments that he's overworking - more just reaching his full potential.
  2. Alright, this is proceeding very well!
  3. I think I've only skipped the complete common-sense areas where a pullup is the only thing causing a circumvention and would be the natural impulse to do in the situation. I don't want to see more comments along these lines in the forums unless people are literally willing to bet money against me that I won't do it (and I won't cheat making half-assed episodes). Just saying you have only just over 3 months left, I really can't wait for you to get Freeman's Mind done so you can work on other shit, like RGD and bringing Civil Protection out of it's coma Or, God willing, Freeman's Mind 2: The Search For More Money.
  4. I'd like to put my voice in on the "keep the Teleporter Maze" side. The most annoying parts of the game always inevitably make the funniest Freeman's Mind moments, because of the entire derivation of comedy from gameplay contrivances thing. Cutting it would be wrongheaded, I think. I expect two more episodes before Xen, myself, or one long-ass one.
  5. More Game Dungeons? I love RGD, but you do realize how much of Half-Life is left, right? If you failed to complete Half-Life by the end of the year, I would take it as an honest mistake and wouldn't hold it against you, but I'm not sure if I can say the same for the vast bulk of your viewers. I wouldn't want you to hurt your source of income; you're already running out of time.
  6. New? Nah, not exactly. I've been watching Freeman's Mind since Episode 3 came out. That's funny; I'm pretty sure Freeman's Mind will be finished before Episode 3 comes out.
  7. For continuity purposes, I hope Ross can spawn a portal at the end of the chapter in advance.
  8. While I know troops of people will get pissed off either way, I would very much prefer Ross to not skip anything rather than meet his deadline, if it comes down to one or the other. Though Uplink is cool and I don't object to its addition, I hope that it wasn't added to skip the teleporter maze. Yes, it's annoying to play, but that's the point - the most annoying-to-play sections of Half-Life inevitably make the best sections of Freeman's Mind, because Freeman gets to complain about them.
  9. I'm honestly kinda worried about Ross and Freeman's Mind. I think he might have seriously underestimated how many episodes are left - and I'd hate to see him start skipping areas, or even rushing them, to make his deadline.
  10. Some classic Duke Nukem? He's pretty all-American.
  11. The only reason I'm scared Ross might wind up in a bind is because I'm worried he's underestimating how much of the game's left. There're four whole chapters after Gordon teleports to Xen; the first one's strangely short, and the second and fourth are just boss battles, but the third one's pretty long.
  12. How about this is the peak of Gordon's training with the G-Man? He relives the events at Black Mesa over and over, getting better each time, until this happens. Witnessing this, the G-Man pisses himself, erases Gordon's memories of his incredible Black Mesa skills, and puts him to sleep.
  13. Ross's Game Dungeon: Half-Life
  14. A Stranger In Need 2: Return To Ravenholm.
  15. Woah, nice, I hope Ross doesn't feel over-pressured as a result!
  16. Ross's Game Dungeon: Half-Life: Blue Shift confirmed.
  17. You weren't here during the Dark Times, SwingBox, were you?
  18. Sad Ross had no response to this.

  20. Well, the ninjas are the only girls in the original Half-Life, except for the Hazard Course hologram...
  21. This episode was much shorter than I expected... but it actually made much more progress than I expected; I guess I died so much on the tank fight that I overestimated how much time it would take up.
  22. By the way, if you're a Half-Life Princess, does that make Ross a Half-Life Prince Consort?
  23. Voted for Bioshock Infinite, but would have voted for Papers Please if it were on the list.
  24. Ugh, EA. I've hated them for a long time; I'm aware of their more explicit ethical lapses, but the situation that's most ruined their reputation in my eyes is... pretty much everything ever to do with the game Spore. Although what they did can mostly be chalked up to incompetence, I'm pretty sure that wasn't it at all. I'm pretty sure they intentionally sunk their own ambitious, highly-anticipated game because they were afraid it would make the gaming public smarter if they made it as well as they could.
  25. A full graphic adventure game set in the French Revolution would be pretty awesome. Now I want that. Just the other day I was longing for a historically accurate animated musical about Marie Antoinette.
