  1. Hopefully, with Otto and General Cornwaffle working in unison, we'll be good to go! This episode was definitely funny and good, though I'm not sure if I'd put it above 10.5, a real classic.
  2. Glad you haven't disappeared into the luminiferous aether.
  3. I should clarify I didn't do all 3 in one day. I've been working nonstop ever since my move pretty much. Dont make yourself sick!! Oh, yeah, shit, this too.
  4. Currently wondering why there's no drooling emoticon. Xen, here we come!
  5. Ooh, if there's so much demand, why not sell username changes?
  6. Someone hasn't seen Little Shop Of Horrors. Get the Director's Cut and brace yourself for Motown.
  7. Wonder if we'll see our first Xen episode tomorrow for HL2's 10th anniversary...
  8. I hope Ross gets a guest voice actor to contribute additional G-Man lines and make the finale a conversation between Gordon and the G-Man.
  9. Unpleasant filler of the kind other Mind series loved indulging in but that has always been above FM. Further, we already got our fill of "optional content inserted via teleportation" with Uplink.
  10. I'm guessing the Nihilanth will be one episode; possibly a triple-length one, but a single episode nonetheless.
  11. Yeah, no one would be happy if Ross got caught in a Kane And Lynch Scandal-type situation.
  12. I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream?
  13. What could possibly top CarnEvil? Looking forward to it.
  14. Well, shit, man, you did say that. I forgot. Take this message as an invitation to ban me without argument; in the event that you don't ban me, I'll shut up anyway.
  15. I feel like a concern troll, but I'm genuinely worried how people will react if Ross doesn't finish Freeman's Mind on time. I personally love Game Dungeon and don't want to put any pressure on Ross to complete Freeman's Mind by his self-set deadline, but I'm worried other viewers won't be as generous, and viewers do, after all, directly translate into Ross's livelihood. This became particularly alarming when I actually did an estimate of how much FM was left in HL1; we would need a rate of FM output that's unprecedentedly high to meet that deadline.
  16. That is a reasonable (on the low end of reasonable), though unfortunate, estimate for how many episodes he could produce by the end of the year, but, unfortunately, it is not at all a reasonable estimate for how many episodes are left in Half-Life 1.
  17. K, I'm looking at actual numbers here to make a rough estimate. In 60 episodes, Ross has gone through roughly 83 maps (3 of them from Uplink). There are 14 left in the story. If this rate of maps-to-episodes remains similar, there will be 10-11 more episodes in Half-Life 1. To complete this by the deadline, Ross would need to release roughly one episode a week for the rest of the year. Given all of this, I would not blame Ross at all if the final Half-Life 1 episode of Freeman's Mind didn't come out before the end of the year. It would certainly be preferable to cutting maps or half-assing episodes, things Ross has already said in more definitive terms he would not do. Everything working out as intended would be awesome, though.
  18. Or maybe the HECU just have really shitty armor.
  19. I don't think Valve had decided Gordon was actually mute until Half-Life 2; prior to that he was just "mute" so you could imagine he sounded like you. You can see this in the Gearbox expansions, where the NPC lines indicate explicitly that the player character was talking to them, and you just didn't hear it.
  20. Can't remember if I've said so, but this is one of my favorite episodes in a long, long time; first time in a while an episode's caused me to binge earlier episodes.
  21. When I played Half-Life for the first time, I wondered if people working there had to do this every day to get to their offices/labs. There really is no other way to get to the upper level. Then again, it might be an alternative to coffe. You either arive at work awake and focused, or you're dead. There's probably another way up there that's just sealed off. That, or under normal operating procedures, the teleportation tower produces a single set of teleport balls that lead between the top and bottom.
  22. That's the old tunnel to Ravenholm. We don't fucking go there anymore.
  23. Yeah, no, we've already established that Ross only cuts chunks of Half-Life when Gordon should logically be able to skip something by doing a pullup. Why would Ross go to such great lengths to disappoint us? The opening of the next episode should be pretty fuckin' hilarious, with Freeman ranting about how he keeps winding up in the same place. "Man of few words, aren't you, motherfucker?"
  24. Fuck this. It is not Ross Scott's responsibility to ensure you can show Freeman's Mind to your entire family, and if you are personally made uncomfortable by swearing, I have no words for you. Except "fuck". I dunno, man. It's just easier for it to be swear free, cause then you can show it to anyone you damn want without offending anybody. X3 I don't mind swears but I think swears CAN be worked around. Although swearing can be very funny at times, I don't think something should be SHOWERED with swears. Ross does a good job so far with keeping it not too clean and not too showered. This is literally not how real life works. People's internal monologues are peppered with as many swears as they damn well think, and, oh, yeah, what's Freeman's Mind again?
