That doesn't make a scrap of difference because they Mayans don't use the same calender system as us. The date of December 21st is the comparative date in OUR calender system, and it was calculated to account for leap years. EDIT: Foal, but if you actually did your damn research, you might discover that the still-existing Mayans are reportedly preparing a huge festival/party thing on the 21st to celebrate "The start of a new age" or something. Not the end of the world. Just because my calender ends on New Year's Eve doesn't mean I'll freak out because the world is going to end on New Year's Eve. Not that I'm necessarily EXPECTING people to do that, but I prefer to be on the safe side. My opinion, of course, is that I will wake up on the 22nd and go about my day.
