the "who needs...when you've got..." game
Mr. ShinyObject replied to that guy's topic in Forum Games
Who needs to ship Portal 2, and then ship DOTA 2, and then ship Portal 3, and then ship Left 4 Dead 3, and then ship Team DOTA, and then ship Counter-Portal, when you've got to ship ponies? -
I'm not so sure I agree with any of you. First of all, anyone here who has watched original Looney Toons or Tom and Jerry most likely did so years upon years after they were being made. Same thing, though less likely, with shows like Transformers or Super-friends and such. Cartoons have great longevity, so FiM (and especially the MLP brand) will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Thats not really the issue here. We want to know not whether the pony will die, but whether the brony will die. It will lessen steadily, then it will drop off hugely when the show ends, but there will still be plenty of bronies. They will slowly start to decrease, at least the active bronies who write fan-fics or do music. But there will always be people who love the show. As long as I live, I will say that there was a time in my life where MLP: FiM was the greatest thing I ever knew, even if its been replaced by then. However, none of this really has to do with it being a lifestyle, since I always understood a lifestyle as being a way to run your life, if not for your life. And I would say ponies greatly effect decisions I make on an everyday basis.

Someone started a thread on my old forum (ask BraveTriforcer, he was there too) with the title "Friendship is Magic," and the post only said "I thought we needed one here" and a pic of Pinkie and I think Goku. I enjoyed looking at all the pony versions of random stuff and posted there when I found one, but I never watched the show. The first show I tried watching was the cutie mark chronicles, and I gave up. Then everyone said "well, yeah, everyone hates CMC episodes." After seeing the sonic rainboom matched with Guille's theme I gave the show another shot. I forget which one I watched first, but Sonic Rainboom and Suited for Success were the first two that got me hooked (The same first 2 that I showed to my Dad later). You get totally sucked into the excitement of Sonic Rainboom, and Suited for Success has a great song and is about client-designer relations, something you don't normally see even in adult stuff. I watched the rest of season 1 in a weekend. As a Flash animator and son of an animator/filmmaker, I had a reasonable excuse to watch the show, which helped me come to terms with bronyism. The show is only a part of the reason I'm a brony though (there are episodes I've only watched once), the community is so accepting and so huge and so clever and, luckily for me, so local. I've met a few bronies and even went to a meetup. EqD moved from "other bookmarks" to homepage in a matter of weeks, and I "went public" on facebook when I posted my PMV (see my sig) a month ago. Though I love being part of the community, I do feel at times it overtakes my life. Half the conversations I have with my Dad are pony related (he thinks its a good show and is amused/amazed by the community, but is not a brony). Sorry about the wall of text, but I've practically got this rehearsed just in case it comes up (which it has). TL;DR: My old forum did it, and I like being a brony, even if it is controlling my life.

I can't wait to walk around school with my brony hoodie. I expect to get constant high-fives. And if that doesn't happen, there are at least 3 different school clubs filled with bronies. Still, my high-school probably would have had more. Oh well. on an unrelated note. AiRrYbte1GI

I have no idea how the system works. I've only used it once on one guy because he asked me to.
